Only in America could you have a convicted felon, someone many consider to be a traitor, running for the Senate. Back when her name and appearance matched her Adam’s apple, Chelsea Manning leaked thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks. She – or he, back then – wasn’t a whistleblower. Her actions put people, not to mention our national security, at risk. Now, with her sentence commuted by President Obama, she claims not only that she is qualified to help govern our country but that she has a plan to make it all better.

Pardon me while I laugh hysterically.

Here is someone who has proven only one thing – that she doesn’t give a flying f*ck about honor and duty – wanting to sit in the U. S. Senate. I have no doubt she’d jump at a chance to sit on the Intelligence Committee. Just think about the “whistleblowing” she could do then. I’m sure our enemies would love it as well.

So how does good ole Chelsea want to help serve and protect our country? If you have the stomach for it, you can check out her campaign’s website. You know, the website hosted out of Iceland. Not that there is anything illegal about it, but it does make one wonder why? Why not support American business by using a local webhost? Hmmm, could it be she is thinking ahead and, as the linked post notes, realizes how much more difficult it would be for law enforcement to execute a warrant for server content overseas than if she had a local host? Of course, I’m not suggestion at all that she had any ill-intent when she chose that host. Nope, not at all. It’s just an interesting coincidence, I’m sure.

This upstanding example of what it means to be a law-abiding citizen wants to open our bordersand do away with I.C.E. Open borders which would allow anyone and anything to come over. That has worked so well for Europe, hasn’t it? Oh, but it gets better. According to good ole Chelsea, I.C.E. is not only a “national deportation task force” but is also “ramping up a massive ethnic cleansing in America.” I don’t know about you, but that sort of fear-mongering comment ranks right there with the accusations during the presidential election that Trump would start building camps as soon as he took office. Funny, those camps haven’t cropped up anywhere and I.C.E. can’t do an ethnic cleaning without arresting and deporting not only those who are in this country illegally but those who are here legally as well as those who have been here from whichever “ethnicity” for more than a single generation. Whether Manning wants to admit it or not, this is not Nazi Germany.

But there’s more. Manning wants a universal basic income for everyone. She wants single-payer healthcare and goes so far as to say all healthcare should be free. Hmm, that sounds really great. I can earn money by doing nothing and someone else will pay to keep me healthy. What she doesn’t answer is where the hell this money is supposed to come from. Does she have a magic money tree? If so, why hasn’t she shared it with the rest of us? I guess it is too much to ask that someone who wants to represent her state in the U. S. Senate should learn basic economics.

As if that’s not enough to make it clear Manning is in this only for Manning, let’s not forget that she wants to close our prisons. Yes, you read that right. Close the prisons. They’re evil, you see. They are part of the evil industrial complex and the new “Jim Crow” because everything to do with this has a racial overtone or connotation. Prisons tear apart families. All those poor criminals who peddle dope to our kids or who murder innocents should be free to walk the streets and be with their families because of race or something.

Honestly, reading Manning’s platform is like reading a dystopian story, and a bad one at that. No prisons and no police. Yep, Manning wants to do away with police as well. You don’t have to worry about a job because the government will pay you and will give you free medical care. Don’t worry about where the money will come from, Comrade, and don’t look behind the curtain.

Nightmare or farce? Only time and the result of the primary election June 26, 2018. Until then, we’re sure to get more of the traitor – sorry, the whistleblower – and her agenda to destroy this country, not strengthen or heal it.
