During the Bill Clinton Presidency the word is was redefined as “IS.” The Obama Administration’s definition of “Transparency” has been redefined as Cover Up, Hide The Evidence, Set up secret emails and servers, Gift our enemies and the terrorists supported by Iran with lotsa cash, and Plead the Fifth anytime someone DARES question you!
Attorney General Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
We’ve written about the fabulously craptastic Iran Deal, the “side deals,” and the ransom payments for American hostages numerous times.
Needless to say, this deal did and still does stink to high heaven. Rightfully so Americans and those representing them in Congress have asked the Obama Administration to explain themselves. The questions, which I highly recommend you read, can be found here. Cue Attorney General Loretta Lynch zipping her lips shut in defiance of Congress’s request.
Then again, she’s had practice at being non-responsive.
This time she didn’t even bother to respond in writing, instead she threw Assistant Attorney General Peter Kadzik into the mix. According to the missive he gave to Congress, the questions won’t be answered. Period. Furthermore Congress is NOT ALLOWED to disclose any details of the cash paid to Iran. WTH??!!
I rarely say holy shit, but, “HOLY SHIT!”

That’s putting it mildly.
Our Attorney General won't tell Congress – elected representatives of the people – who approved the transfer of $1.7 billion to terrorists. https://t.co/pbHEN4G5ea

The reply from Marco Rubio and Mike Pompeo is direct and to the point.
“It is frankly unacceptable that your department refuses to answer straightforward questions from the people’s elected representatives in Congress about an important national security issue,” the lawmakers wrote. “Your staff failed to address any of our questions, and instead provided a copy of public testimony and a lecture about the sensitivity of information associated with this issue.”
“As the United States’ chief law enforcement officer, it is outrageous that you would essentially plead the fifth and refuse to respond to inquiries,” they stated. “The actions of your department come at time when Iran continues to hold Americans hostage and unjustly sentence them to prison.”
You can find a the letter here. The full response from the Attorney General (if you could call it that) is here. Basically what this boils down to is…
No one wants to own approving a $1.7 billion cash transfer to terrorists. https://t.co/375cl78E5V

When sources familiar with this horrendously dangerous deal tell us that the details are so damning that Every. Single. Person. involved in putting it together has run for the hills, that should tell us one thing and one thing only. Iran is the only winner in this. Obama and Kerry KNEW that giving Iran, the worlds biggest terror sponsor, a blank check was just asking for trouble and they went ahead anyway.
Folks should step back and let this sink in: Attorney General won't tell Cong who approved transfering $1.7 bil taxpayer funds to terrorists https://t.co/375cl78E5V

Attorney General Lynch likely knows that if she steps one foot out of line in front of Congress then under the bus she goes. Thus her cowardly refusal to answer to Congress and to the American people, while Iran laughs all the way to the bank.
