Was it the wet market or the bats that spread COVID-19? Was it a leak from the Wuhan virology lab? Still, the questions regarding the virus that brought our world and economy to a standstill looms about.

Just yesterday, Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky. released the internal Slack messages exchanged among the authors of ‘The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2’ by Kristian Andersen, Robert Garry, Eddie Holmes and Andrew Rambaut.

This was the paper that absolutely ruled out the origin of COVID-19 leaked out of the Wuhan Virology lab. There was the horseshoe bats. Then, an undetermined “intermediate host”. Dog-killer, Anthony Fauci denied the gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology again and again.

The idea that it came from a lab is implausible, and, yet, privately they’re saying the opposite. This level of dishonesty, I think, needs to be exposed. These are people who get large, multimillion-dollar grants from our country, and we shouldn’t be giving money to people who lied to us.”-Sen. Rand Paul

The problem is, they think we are idiots. And, sad to say, some fell for the lies, hook, line and sinker. The latest Slack messages released don’t exactly make the case for their competence, however.

The part I’m really struggling with is that, at the end of the day, we really don’t have any hard evidence one way or the other — and especially given some of the recent evidence, we also can’t rule out that somebody actually put it in there. That’s obviously not to say that somebody did, but we can’t rule it out. Our paper was pretty strong in saying ‘there’s no way,’ but I have less confidence in that statement at this stage.”-Kristian Andersen

Somebody just peppered it in there. Can’t rule it out. But they won’t tell the masses about this “oopsie”.

The Slack messages also revealed a very contentious relationship with Ralph Baric, whose research techniques were used in the virology lab in Wuhan, admitted that a lab leak was possible:

Baric testified that he had specifically warned Shi Zhengli that the WIV’s critical coronavirus research was being conducted in labs with insufficient biosafety protections. When he urged her to move the work to a more secure biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) lab, he testified that she did not heed his recommendation. Because the WIV continued to perform coronavirus research at what he considers an inappropriately low biosafety level, Baric said of a laboratory accident, ‘You can’t rule that out…. You just can’t.'”-Katherine Bean, Vanity Fair

They-(Anderson, Garry and Holmes) called Baric “Deep Throat”. He “sold them out” by eluding to the fact that a lab leak in Wuhan was not entirely impossible. “You can’t rule that out”, he said. But they did. And it cost some dearly.

The COVID-19 pandemic’s physical, emotional, mental, psychological and social toll on families, friendships, and society as a whole was exorbitant. Anyone who questioned the logic of following arrows in supermarkets and double-masking outdoors was labeled a traitor. Anyone who did not stand 6-feet apart (except during the BLM protests where demonstrators were immune to the virus, apparently), was immediately chastised. You wanted your kids back in school? The Teachers’ Unions blamed you for wanting to kill them, but some of its members still went on vacations and out to protests anyway. Classrooms were the only “unsafe” environments, apparently. Wanted to see your elderly parents on Christmas? State governors told you that you were going to “kill Grandma“. Wanted to go to church? Nope. Wanted to keep your job? Get a jab. The media repeated the script to anyone willing to listen, locked in their homes. They spread propaganda and fear. This fear became political and it caused debates at dinner tables, arguments over the phone with fearful family members, sometimes estrangement from loved ones and many a severed friendship. All of these things, and time, that we simply cannot get back. All because of someone else’s greed and utter mismanagement.

But, TRUMMMMMMP! (They will say.)

The face of all of this is Dr. Anthony Fauci, pardoned by Joe Biden before leaving office, for straight-up lying to the American people. A millionaire whose net worth increased after the pandemic. He walked off into the sunset and retirement with no consequences and a freaking pardon.

Fauci is slated to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on the origins of the virus this month. He will claim the COVID-19 fiasco was not at all his fault. He was just following the science. Now, if we can follow the science and trace things back to where they started, to include the plausible reasoning that it is quite possible the virus leaked from a virology lab, I would say we’d be getting somewhere. It may be too late for some, but at least we can salvage some of humankind who were, and still are, blinded by the utter damage and chaos of 2020.
