Iran and the U.S. have reached an “agreement” of sorts late yesterday afternoon, calling for a temporary cease fire and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

What happens now? There have been rumors that the Iranian regime is violating said ceasefire.

Probably not much, at least not immediately. I’ve been following Trump long enough to know he’s going to want to do everything he can to preserve some semblance of this ceasefire, and he tends to become very forgiving in these scenarios. Whether he should be will be a hotly debated point of contention. For my money? I wouldn’t bet on any of this deal turning out well. Iran’s Supreme National Security Council confirmed the cease-fire agreement, noting, “hands remain upon the trigger”.

And, so should ours. The Iranian state-run media even went as far to paint the announcement as proof that they forced Trump into this agreement.

Right on cue, in comes the commentary. It all comes down to TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out) Tuesday for these liberal crazies. They really think they are on to something here.

A far cry from the Kamala Harris in 2024, don’t you think?

Just like securing our borders, right? She got right on that. In fact, “all options” were on the table to keep Iran from going nuclear when Harris campaigned in 2024. That was a sheer vibe for her. But, that was then, and this is now. Some presidential candidates say the darndest things. Luckily, her “highest priorities” never became a reality for us.

Yes, we need to ensure that Iran does not achieve the ability to become a nuclear power but this does not happen by throwing a bunch of nonsensical word salad as diplomacy and a few witchy cackles as threats at our enemies. At some point, harsh words need to be said, threats need to be made, bridges need to be blown out. Trump does not want a forever war. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Plain and simple. If this ends and the uranium enrichment “for their future” still remains in the hands of the Iranian regime, all of this would have been for naught.
