President-elect, Donald Trump finished off his work week with more cabinet picks. And, right on cue, the left is not happy.
First up, Scott Bessent, founder of Key Square Group, has been announced as Trump’s pick for Treasury Secretary.
The list goes on. Former NFL player Scott Turner as his pick to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Marty Makary – a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine has been tapped to serve as FDA commissioner; former Congressman Dr. Dave Weldon to head the CDC; and Dr. Janette Nesheiwat – a Fox News medical contributor – was tapped to serve as surgeon general.
There was also the appointment of Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR) to run the Department of Labor. Chavez-DeRemer lost reelection to Oregon’s 5th District earlier this month but a record in Congress to become one of the first two Latinas to represent Oregon. (In your face, Oregon!)
The guy who hates women sure is putting a bunch in leadership roles ♂️

Such a misogynist, that Donald Trump is….
I’d be honored to have the opportunity to support President Trump’s mission to empower and grow our nation’s workforce,” she said. “Hardworking Americans finally have a lifeline with the president, and I’d work tirelessly to support his impressive efforts to remake the Republican Party into the Party of the American worker.” -Lori Chavez-DeRemer
Sebastian Gorka will be returning to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism.
And then, there was lots of to-be-expected hysteria from Huffington Post-in big, ominous headines…especially when Trump announced Russ Vought as Office of Management and Budget director.
SWAMP INCOMING! (Reads the headline) PROJECT 2025 RADICAL SELECTED FOR TOP BUDGET SPOT.
(GASP!) He’s one of the authors of Project 2025!
Project 2025 is largely focused on centralizing governmental authority within the presidency and infusing it with conservative Christian views about family life, reproductive health and LGBTQ+ rights. The plan also recommends imposing sweeping changes to immigration policy, eliminating the Department of Education and gutting environmental regulations.”-Lydia O’Connor, HuffPo
Notice she can’t say “family life” and “abortion” in the same sentence? This is why the left has come up with “reproductive health”.
Vought was also called a “Christian Nationalist”. Cue the histrionics.
"Christian Nationalist." It's a propaganda slogan you can't define anymore than you can define who a woman is.

The immediate threat facing the nation is the fact that the people no longer govern the country; instead, the government itself is increasingly weaponized against the people it is meant to serve.-Russ Vought
The people governing the country. And…this, is a bad thing?
Yes, according to HuffPo, an outlet dedicated to “free journalism for all”, it’s all terrible-we’re-all-gonna-die-doom-and-gloom. What’s good out of all of this in their opinion? Well, Scott Bessent will be the first openly gay Treasury Secretary, and, he did work for (the devil), George Soros.
Vought’s proposed budget plan would cut spending on food aid through the Agriculture Department. There would be $3.3 trillion in spending reductions in the Health and Human Services Department in large part through how Medicaid and Medicare funds are distributed. It also contains about $642 billion in cuts to Affordable Care Act. The budgets for the Housing and Urban Development and Education departments would also be cut.”-Lydia O’Connor, HuffPo
Panic and the Trump disco.
$642 billion in cuts to Obama’s ACA? The act that kept insurance rates jacked and afforded Americans the “luxury” of NOT keeping their doctor? Sounds like a plan.
Oh, the crony Capitalism-you can see it coming from a mile away:
Trump has always been unabashedly transactional. The variable is which kind of currency will get him to respond. Campaign contributions? Family enrichment? Personal abasement? Some combination of the above?”-Jonathan Cohn, HuffPo
You know what? Most of us will take straight-up Capitalism over Crony Wannabe Socialism mixed in with Crony Hollywood Elitism any day of the week. I mean, what is it, exactly, that we have now again? Where are they, anyway? Are Joe and Kamala still in office? Did they even work this week?
Love focus on trump
But with Putin threatening nuclear war – do we know where Biden or Harris might be ??
Journalism is dead

If one was just watching CNN or MSNBC or reading the Huffington Post, they may want to hunker down and shelter-in-place with a sense of impending doom. They might want to throw on a few layers of KN95 to their faces for good measure.
For some, it’s the end of the world as we know it.
We feel fine.
Heh, crony capitalism. Crony capitalism is the driver for every regulation imposed. Regulations give large companies leverage over their smaller competitors. Leverage used to drive their smaller competitors out of business or to be consumed by the bigger corporations. None of which are of beneficial to consumers, ever.
I wouldn’t say the Democrats are having a meltdown over these two picks. In fact, some are quite thrilled, especially over Lori Chavez-Deremer.
Like AFT head Randi Weingarten, who praised Chavez-Deremer’s “support of workers & their right to unionize.”

And the NEA, which pointed out that Chavez-Deremer opposes school choice as well as cuts to the Department of Education (doesn’t Team MAGA want to eliminate the DoE??).

Leftist WA Sen. Patty Murray also welcomes the nomination of Chavez-Deremer.

So much for cleaning out the educational swamp of malignant teachers unions and poor public schools.
