Israel, according to Joe Biden, has crafted a new ceasefire proposal. One that he says Israel should act upon immediately. 

Declaring that Hamas was no longer capable of carrying out a major terrorist attack on Israel, President Biden said on Friday it was time for a permanent cease-fire in Gaza and endorsed a new plan he said Israel had offered to win the release of hostages and end the fighting.

“It’s time for this war to end, for the day after to begin,” Mr. Biden said, speaking from the State Dining Room at the White House. He also gave a stark description of Hamas’s diminished capabilities after seven months of Israeli attacks: “At this point, Hamas is no longer capable of carrying out another Oct. 7.”

Stop and read that again. Do we REALLY believe that Hamas, funded by Iran, doesn’t have the means, capability, men, and arms to carry out another attack let alone another October 7 attack?

This is the same Hamas that has hidden arms, rockets, and men in schools, churches, and hospitals for decades. Tunnels have been discovered all over the place and yet Biden says Hamas is now totally weakened?? AYFKM??

The entire proposal is trash and it’s becoming very apparent that this was not Israel’s idea.

Here is a plan: Hamas surrenders, return the hostages, and the war is over. Any other plan besides that is a complete bettayal in Israel and the Jewish people, I can’t stress this enough.

What’s horrible about this is,

A. the onus is entirely upon Israel to make this happen.

B. Biden’s announcement of this plan includes the fact that the U.S. KNOWS there are hostages who are no longer alive!!

Furthermore, the release of all hostages should happen FIRST before anything else, not in some incremental phase crap! 

During the second phase, Israel and Hamas would negotiate for the second phase of a permanent end to hostilities, Mr. Biden said. This phase would include the release of all remaining living hostages, including male soldiers, and a withdrawal from Gaza, as long as the proposal is honored, Mr. Biden said. And the temporary ceasefire would become permanent, as long as the mosque lives up to its commitments, the president said.

You know what else is outrageous about this trash plan? Joe claims that Israel can’t and shouldn’t try to win against Hamas.

Yes, he said while also claiming Hamas has been militarily weakened. Which is it Joe? Make up your mind, if you can find it. Especially in light of this information.

Wait, did he just admit that there ARE boots on the ground while also claiming that Israel can never win this war?

“To the people of Israel, let me say this: As someone who has had a lifelong commitment to Israel, as the only American president who has ever gone to Israel at a time of war, as someone who just sent US forces to directly defend Israel when it was attacked by Iran, I ask you to take a step back and think what will happen if this moment is lost?”

“You can’t lose this moment. Indefinite war in pursuit of an unidentified notion of total victory will only bog down Israel in Gaza, draining military, ecnomomic and human resources and further Israel’s isolation in the world. That will not bring hostages home. That will not bring an enduring defeat of Hamas. That will not bring Israel lasting security.”

This from the guy whose pier idea sank like a rock due to leadership incompetence? This from the guy who completely and utterly botched the Afghanistan withdrawal? The arrogance is unbelievable. 

There’s another reason why this proposal, that Israel definitely didn’t come up with, is utter trash. 

No, Mr. President, this leaves Hamas still functional and Israel must give no quarter. First release the hostages and Hamas must surrender. Full stop.

Yes indeed, his proposal leaves the Hamas government in power, and evidently we the US taxpayer will be ponying up $$’s to rebuild Gaza. In other words, this would be a toothless ceasefire that accomplishes nothing for Israel and leaves Hamas in the drivers seat.

Yes, there’s a lot that stinks about this. And given that Obama approves this message, it’s further proof in my opinion that this ceasefire idea is trash. Adding insult to injury, Biden makes this announcement during the Sabbath.

Keep in mind, as this war has gone on and more information has been uncovered about Hamas’ brutality, the confidence that Israel had regarding a peaceful coexistence has plummeted to a mere 19%. 

Now that Sabbath has ended, Israel is responding. And they are, understandably, NOT on board with this.

Under the proposal, Israel will continue to insist these conditions are met before a permanent ceasefire is put in place. The notion that Israel will agree to a permanent ceasefire before these conditions are fulfilled is a non-starter.

Having Hamas releasing audio of Noa Argamani’s voice yesterday was just the icing on a crappy cake. Especially since they also let it be known that they definitely like the terms Biden crafted.

I cannot imagine what Noa’s family has been going through all these months. But this is exactly why Biden’s proposal is such trash. 

The hostages are being put last in the equation. WHO DOES THAT??!! Joe Biden does that.
