Iran Plans Missile Deal With Russia While US Keeps $10 Billion Flowing

Iran is in the midst of inking a ballistic missile deal with Russia. So, what does the U.S. do? Continue to waive sanctions and keep the $10 billion money spigot wide open.

The United States and allies warned Iran on Friday that major Western economies will pile new sanctions on Tehran if it moves forward with an advancing plan to provide ballistic missiles to Russia for its war with Ukraine.

The Biden administration has raised alarms for months that Russia is seeking close-range ballistic missiles from Iran as Moscow struggles to replenish its dwindling supplies.

What is the plan for sanctions if Iran goes through with this deal? Let’s stop all Iran Air flights from Iran to Europe. Yeah, that will work.

One sanction that is not discussed is the one that freed up $10 billion dollars in funds. Which, the Biden Administrate is INSISTING that will only be used for ‘humanitarian aid.’

Just six weeks after an Iran-backed drone strike killed three American soldiers in Jordan, President Biden has approved a sanctions waiver giving Tehran continued access to more than $10 billion — money it can use to import goods and repay debts, freeing up $10 billion elsewhere to spend on terrorism, missiles, nuclear weapons and the repression of Iranian women.

The Senate is sitting on a bill that would lock down the money, and Republicans should do whatever it takes to force an up-or-down vote.

Thursday isn’t the first time Biden has granted Iran massive sanctions relief.

The White House first opened spigots of money last summer after it struck a secret accord with Iran — brokered by Oman, reported by every major newspaper in the country and to this day never acknowledged by the administration.

The United States freed up cash for Iran’s use from previously inaccessible bank accounts and gave China a green light to import as much Iranian oil as Beijing desired.

In exchange, Iran simply agreed not to enrich uranium above the 90% weapons-grade threshold.

Remember, the Iranian government is on record telling the world that, no matter the finger-wagging from the Biden Administration, they will spend the money however and wherever they want. Furthermore, as this $10 billion lottery-winning spigot stays wide open, that frees Iran up to use OTHER funds they have to continue their terrorist activities and the uranium enrichment nuclear weapons program.

Keep in mind, just as the Biden Administration continues the waiver, thus keeping $10 billion flowing to Iran, that country is providing drones and drone equipment to Russia while signaling that negotiations involving the sale of ballistic missiles is on-going.

What is notable is that, while the U.S. and allies threaten sanctions if Iran continues to move forward with this deal, ONE of the sanctions not on the list is… you guessed it…the $10 billion flowing to Iran.

John Kirby, during yesterday’s briefing, was on point with his combination gas-lighting and tap dance. It didn’t go well.

“None of this money goes to the mullahs. None of this money goes into Tehran. The sanctions relief that is provided actually goes to vendors that provide humanitarian assistance to the Iranian people,” he told Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, during a Friday press briefing. “Not only do the Iraqi people not suffer because of this, the Iranian people aren’t going to suffer because of this.”

Do you believe that? I certainly don’t. Oh, but it gets better. It’s well worth watching the entire thing, or reading the transcript at the link.

John Kirby is so epically bad at this! Iran proxies (Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah, and others) attacked Israel and have subsequently attacked U.S. interests, Israel again and again, and ships in the Red Sea thus completely altering world shipping.

What does John Kirby do? Gaslight and tap dance.

If the U.S. has struck back “forcefully” against the Houthis, then wouldn’t that mean they are no longer a threat? Yes, one would think so. Except the Houthis are alive and well.

Just three weeks ago, Reuters among others reported that Iran has already sent hundreds of ballistic missiles to Russia.

Yet, THIS WEEK, the Biden Administration said ‘hey, that’s fine! We’ll keep that $10 billion sanctions waiver in place.’

Unless the Biden Administration gets a clue, and I highly doubt they would know one even if the clue bat smacked them in the face, this sanctions waiver will continue for another four months before it’s reviewed again.

Our foreign policy is in a shambles and our national security is at risk because of irresponsible actions like this.

We have soldiers on their way to Gaza to build an asinine “temporary” floating pier to provide aid to the Hamas terrorists running Palestine, and the Administration continues to hand over money to the country that funds Hamas, Iran.

Lecturing Iran about negotiating a ballistic missile deal with Iran, while continuing to give them $10 billion shows how weak this Administration is. We know it, Iran knows it, and so does the world.
