#HimToo: Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring Donned Blackface In College

The Virginia Democrat party is a raging dumpster fire right now. It all started with Kathy Tran’s heinously evil full-term abortion bill, continued with Ralph Northam’s abhorrent comments about the same, and now we have THREE major office holders dealing with issues of sexual assault and donning blackface at college parties. Mark Herring just joined the blackface band.

Folks, there must be something in the water in Virginia right now. Ralph Northam has dug in his heels and refuses to resign, even after an admittedly bizarre press conference over the weekend. Lt. Governor Fairfax is dealing with major sexual assault accusations and in rebuttal has been stepping on multiple rakes.

First he does admit to a one-night stand:

Then he tries to deflect everything onto his accuser…

…and conveniently issued a statement a few minutes ago.

And now we have Mark Herring adding to the dumpster fire.

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring (D) said Wednesday he dressed in blackface during college, elevating the Capitol’s scandals to a new level that engulfed the entire executive branch of government.

“In 1980, when I was a 19-year-old undergraduate in college, some friends suggested we attend a party dressed like rappers we listened to at the time, like Kurtis Blow, and perform a song,” Herring said in a statement. “It sounds ridiculous even now writing it. But because of our ignorance and glib attitudes – and because we did not have an appreciation for the experiences and perspectives of others – we dressed up and put on wigs and brown makeup.”

Herring was a fan of rap music in the ’80’s??!! So much so that he dressed up as his favorite rapper? Cue the outrage brigade!!

Seriously, folks, this is where we are. It’s like Halloween political correctness all over again. Herring is getting hammered for dressing as his favorite rapper as if the world is going to fall apart. It’s so shocking. *eyeroll

Chris, pick your jaw up off the floor. Remember, you were all in on the Gillespie is BAD! stories during the Northam/Gillespie campaign, so perhaps you better sit this one out.

Of course, Herring’s comments just a few days ago aren’t aging well either.

Big rake there. YUUUGE.

The members of the Virginia Black Legislative Caucus are sullen.

Del. Lamont Bagby (D-Richmond), chairman of the caucus, looked sullen. Asked about the cascading scandals, Bagby said, “I imagine we’re not praying enough.”

State Sen. L. Louise Lucas (D-Portsmouth) sent a text while she was in the meeting with Herring that said “This is freakin screwed up!”

Yes, the entire thing is one massive screw-up, and, no, prayers won’t help.

Keep in mind, this information regarding all three (Northam, Fairfax, Herring) has been out there for years. Whomever has been conducting opposition research either needs a refresher course or needs to explain why they sat on this information for so long.

Everything to do with what is going on with the three bumbling fools isn’t good and doesn’t bode well for the Virginia Democrat party.

However, we cannot forget, and should not let anyone in Virginia forget, that it was a most evil abortion bill that started this dumpster fire.

An abortion bill that may still see the light of the day. I would give 5-1 odds that Kathy Tran and others are going to try to slip that bill under the radar while everyone is focused on the Northam/Fairfax/Herring mess.

Do I think that Northam and Herring were absolute idiots in college? Yes I do. Do I think that Fairfax has a lot to answer for regarding these sexual assault allegations? Absolutely.

Do I believe that any and all abortion is murder and what was being proposed in Virginia is also infanticide? One hundred percent.

Don’t let this current dumpster fire distract us from the evil called abortion that is lurking in the shadows.

My family is “White”. (Actually, we’re ‘tan’; I hate defining/dividing Americans by skin color.) Anyways…
My musician son wanted to dress up as his favorite musician for Halloween: Jimi Hendrix
My son collected ‘psychedelic ‘ clothes, made a ‘peace sign’ neckless, found a wig, a left handed blow-up guitar, and more.

And then the last thing he wanted to add was to take some charcoal from the fireplace and make his skin the same color as his hero…

But my wife and I had to stop him from doing that, and I still don’t real understand why. All he was doing was showing respect and admiration. I think it is racists who hold race as important and see racism in everything.

Every time I see outrage over “blackface,” especially regarding cases that clearly aren’t intended to offend or demean (even if the humor may be dark or tasteless), I have to rewatch that scene from Trading Places. I love that film, and anyone outraged by the use of blackface in it missed the whole point of the movie… just like every decade or so when someone insists they remove The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from school libraries because the author uses a word they don’t like.

    It all started with
Actually it started before that, with anti-gun measures, attempted executive overreach, and the baloney in Charlottesville.

Herring was a fan of rap music in the ’80’s??!!
Heck, that shows a much greater lack of judgment than putting on blackface.

“I imagine we’re not praying enough.”
Maybe you need to shout louder. Maybe he’s in the ‘library’. Maybe he’s asleep!

Honestly, nobody should really give a damn. This isn’t real racism they’re screaming about. It’s the bullcarp virtue signaling “racism” that stands in for actual persecution nowadays – you know, when we’ve had a black president, blacks are in the club of the 1%ers, loads of blacks have been in Congress for way too many terms, and oodles of us have interracial marriages and children within two degrees of ourselves.

Kathy Tran and others are going to try to slip that bill under the radar
That bill was never going to see Northam’s desk anyway. We still have Republicans in charge of our legislatures here. For now.

Has EVERY elected white politician in Virginia appeared at some time in the past in blackface?

Well at lease they’re not Confederate flag waving rednecks in a pickup truck who terrorize innocent little Black children who are walking home from school like Ed Gillespie, the opponent in the last election.
