Because they’re stronger together. Or, perhaps when all clumped into the same room in a Hollywood mansion, they all collectively share a brain.

The scene fades in on Leonardo DiCaprio. The self-proclaimed champion for climate change was in the tank for Bernie Sanders (because clearly, he did not think that whole Socialist “fair share” thing through but he is ‘smart”). Now, with no other alternative, he is stumping for Hillary and offering up his home for “A Conversation With Hillary”, an event that will run attendees a mere $33,400 a-pop. The event, scheduled for August 23 will donate the first $2,700 to the Clinton campaign while the D.N.C. will get the rest.

DiCaprio, despite his penchant for traveling on private jets across the world, has been on the climate change soapbox for years now and Clinton has made climate change a focal point of her campaign. So, politically, Clinton would be a logical choice for DiCaprio…if there is any logic in Hollywood, that is.

It seems as though Clinton and DiCaprio are birds of a feather and jet set together.

Back in May, DeCaprio took a private jet from Cannes to New York to accept an environmental award only to hop on the very same private jet to continue partying in Cannes the very next day. In his defense, a source said that he “hitched a ride” with another party who chartered the flights so his carbon footprint (by Hollywood logic) is “clean”.

According to a report last year and e-mails released from from WikiLeaks that detail agreements from Sony to DiCaprio in April of 2015, former executive Amy Pascal approved the budget to send Leo and his family on multiple excursions throughout the country.

The leaked emails revealed bill approvals for various trips in dollar amounts including $59,000, $37,206, and $63,600.

Sony also provided ground transportation to DiCaprio and his posse.

As an actor I pretend for a living. I play fictitious characters often solving fictitious problems.

I believe humankind has looked at climate change in that same way: as if it were a fiction, happening to someone else’s planet, as if pretending that climate change wasn’t real would somehow make it go away.

None of this is rhetoric, and none of it is hysteria. It is fact. The scientific community knows it, industry and governments know it, even the United States military knows it. The chief of the U.S. Navy’s pacific command, Admiral Samuel Locklear, recently said that climate change is our single greatest security threat.-Leonardo DiCaprio at the UN Climate Summit, September 2015.

Hillary Clinton has been known to take her fair share of private jets to speaking engagements and according to a memo released from the Harry Walker Agency in New York.

According to the memo, Clinton requires travel by private jet, and even specifies that she prefers a Gulfstream 450 or larger. Her staff requires first class and business class tickets. And two members of her staff require up to three days on site to prepare, with all local transportation and meals included. The memo also states Clinton should be booked into a presidential suite with up to three separate rooms attached.

Clinton’s campaign, based ona report in March, spent more than $2 million into the use of private jets. Hillary for America made a total of 48 payments from June 1, 2015, to Jan. 29, 2016, to New York-based Executive Fliteways, running up a tab of $2,128,293 for the campaign.

“I really am tired of the debate, which is a phony debate. Climate change is real. It is here. It has to be dealt with. If I hear another politician or public official say they don’t know to say because they’re not a scientist, I’m just going to yell because-go talk to a scientist! Go listen to a scientist. Go learn about what is actually happening to our climate.” –Hillary Clinton, June 2016

Lo and behold, there it is. Hypocrisy the size of the Titanic. This is the so-called party of the working people, all clumping together for one evening in First Class telling the folks in Steerage that it’s going to be okay because they are fighting for us, the commoners. Iceberg-dead ahead!
