Using toddlers as props, Obama met with Zohran Mamdani to ostensibly “celebrate” his first 100 days of driving New York City into the ditch. The public part of the meeting included a Wheels on the Bus sing-along.

The fact is, this meeting wasn’t publicized on the Mayor’s schedule. 

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and former President Barack Obama had their first face-to-face meeting on Saturday – even as Hizzoner tries to maintain a working relationship with President Donald Trump.

The sit-down between the socialist pol and Obama took place at an undisclosed childcare center, where they greeted local families after a private conversation, POLITICO first reported.

Mamdani’s public schedule failed to note he was meeting Obama and instead listed only that he planned to greet “children and parents” at 3:30 pm at an “early childhood education center.”

Obama didn’t campaign for Mamdani, but he did call and congratulate him on his win. Thus, Mamdani wanted a more visible showing of Obama’s support while he drives New York’s fiscal bus off the cliff. It’s no longer about just providing free, at taxpayer’s expense, child care. It’s about taxing the rich and calling out those who own second homes and planning to double tax that as well.

Pretty arrogant of Mamdani to call out Ken Griffin when the man has contributed well over $600 million to major NYC infrastructure and hospitals, and employs over 5,000 New Yorkers.

In Griffin’s case, his joint $400 million donation to Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2023—made with California resident David Geffen—is the largest single donation the cancer center has ever received. (Mamdani’s friends spend their time caterwauling outside the hospital protesting for Gaza.) Then there’s Griffin’s $40 million to the Museum of Modern Art, $40 million to the Museum of Natural History, and $15 million to the poverty-fighting Robin Hood Foundation. Sources tell us his gifts to city institutions total around $600 million. It’s not a government-funded grocery store, but it’s a little something. That’s not to mention that Griffin, whose Citadel and Citadel Securities together employ approximately 5,000 people, is currently building Midtown’s tallest skyscraper right on Park Ave., something a mayor with any understanding of how to help working people would be welcoming and celebrating.

Then again, Mamdani is as arrogant as President Selfie Obama is. Two peas in a Marxist pod for them. 

Obama, who labeled Mamdani’s campaign “impressive” has been inserting himself into various campaigns around the country. The latest effort involved ABC News treating an ad by Obama telling Virginia voters to vote yes on a redistricting measure as breaking news. After getting mocked into the stratosphere, ABC took the X post down. 

However, I will point out that an ABC News affiliate in NYC was granted full access to the Obama Mamdani toddler sing along.

According to some political pundits, this was a terrific move for Mamdani. 

“As a novice to politics, it would be wise for Mayor Mamdani to seek to meet with President Obama and take advice from a man who today arguably remains the most popular person in the Democratic Party,” said Levy, a vocal Mamdani critic.

Beyond Trump, Obama is a potential inroad for Mamdani with more moderate forces in the Democratic Party who remain skeptical of the mayor.

“The mayor would be well served to listen to the advice of a political legend like President Obama who mastered the art of bringing people, especially Democrats, together despite divisions,” said a Democratic congressional aide from the New York delegation, who was granted anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak to the press.

Obama showing up to visit with Mamdani and use toddlers as props essentially gives Mamdani tacit approval to keep driving the Marxist bus off the cliff.

Yet Mamdani will persist with his utopian grocery store that will take $300 million to build and solve nothing. But those bus wheels will keep going round and round until everything falls off the cliff. 

For all those who still have blinders on, Obama embrace of Mamdani’s Marxism just told us all who he really is. As for Mamdani, not all rich people are bad although he might be wishing he could tax Obama’s two other homes right about now.
