Voting Machine Snafus Across Multiple States

Voting machines across multiple states are having election ballot snafus. Is anyone surprised? We shouldn’t be. It’s not like millions of our tax dollars weren’t poured into the problem states to fix the Dominion voting machines.

As of my count in the last hour, there are at least five states that have a significant number of voting machines SNAFU’d right now. We are seeing reports from New Jersey and New York.

Harris County, Texas

From Chesterfield County, Virginia

Maricopa County, Arizona.

Vote-counting machines at about a fifth of polling locations in Arizona’s most populous county could not read ballots cast in the midterm elections Tuesday morning, officials said.

“About 20% of the locations out there where there’s an issue with the tabulator where some of the ballots that after people have voted them, they try and run them through the tabulator and they’re not going through,” Maricopa County Board of Supervisors chairman Bill Gates said in a video posted to Facebook.

Arizona election results were a major problem in 2020. County and state officials resisted allowing any kind of forensic audit after that debacle, which understandably had people wondering what county and state officials were hiding. Now, with current AZ Secretary of State Katie Hobbs running against Kari Lake yet refusing to recuse herself from monitoring and certifying the election results, Maricopa County’s voting SNAFUS don’t inspire confidence in the system nor I dare say in Katie Hobbs herself.

With Maricopa County, the SNAFU is the tabulators that aren’t working.

Which has led to county officials issuing explainers in the news and over social media, while some voters are going to multiple precincts in order to cast their vote IF they find one with working machines.

All of this is happening while the DOJ sent feds to well over 60 voting sites in 24 states to monitor the election and ensure nothing goes wrong.

Except there ARE problems. Problems that realistically shouldn’t have been happening given the amount of money thrown their way to resolve the issues and fully test the systems multiple times prior to today.

Mark Finchem, Republican candidate for Secretary of State, called the foul-up “unacceptable performance.”

“This is why I filed suit in U.S. District Court to block the use of black box ballot tabulation equipment,” Mr. Finchem wrote on Twitter. “It’s also why we must return to paper ballots, hand counting, at the precinct on election day.”

County officials said voters were still able to cast ballots at locations with defective machines, but those ballots would be placed in a “secure box” to be kept until taken to a central counting location Tuesday night.

“This will function much like early voting functions, in that we would get your ballot back; once we’ve signature-verified it, we would send it to our central tabulators,” Mr. Gates said. “Ballots that are (at the central location) will already be signature-verified, so we won’t need to confirm identity, but we will central-tabulate them.”

Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, Fetterman’s team filed a lawsuit to let incorrectly dated mail-in ballots be counted. Given a majority of PA early voters are typically Democrat, one can see why the Fetterman team wants this lawsuit to prevail for them.

Needless to say, the fact that there are voting SNAFUS across several states doesn’t inspire confidence. However, I would also venture to guess that Democrats will use those SNAFUS as a way to allege Republican misconduct or fraud as to why they lost.

There are 2 ways to go:
    1. You vote and tabulate by hand. With locked boxes and public viewing. Purple fingers and voter ID.
For that to work you have to eliminate early voting and most mail-in balloting.

    2. You vote electronically (where it gets tabulated), print out the ballot (and verify), load the ballot in the reader (where it gets verified and tabulated separately), then the ballot gets dropped into the locked ballot box. Then you check the 2 electronic totals against each other and hand-count the paper ballots as a check against those totals.
If those things disagree, EVERYONE INVOLVED goes to jail. The coders, the company president, the poll watchers, the voting registrar, mayor, city council, everyone. And your final number is then based on the paper ballots.

Also, in the second method, if a voter shows that his paper ballot does not match what’s on the screen in EITHER place… EVERYONE INVOLVED goes to jail.

BTW, the company building the machine scanning the paper ballots has to be a separate company from the one making the part that records and prints out the ballot initially.
