Yes, the sign is real. Unbelievably real, and full on racist. Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears attended an Arlington VA school board meeting to speak on behalf of keeping transgenders out of girls locker rooms and bathrooms.

The sheer number of people who were protesting in FAVOR of letting transgender boys AND men use girls bathrooms was mind-boggling. Before I get to the sign itself, the reason for Winsome Sears’ speech is that THIS guy was allowed by the school district to use girls locker rooms anytime he desired.

Yes, you read that correctly. He’s a convicted sex offender and the school district would rather protect HIM than protect the children, especially the girls, under their care. The Lt. Governor is standing up for the girls.

Watch the whole thing. She absolutely should be Virginia’s next Governor. 

That said, it was a sign held up at the rally outside that caught everyone’s eye. Again, it is real. Very very real.

Unbelievable. First of all, that doesn’t even get ten miles into the vicinity of satire. Secondly, the woman holding the sign knew exactly what she was doing and what she was saying. She deliberately invoked the racist era of Jim Crow with her sign. It sure as hell wasn’t an accident, nor was it “satire.” 

Amazingly, this news report captured the sign in it’s entirety at about .43 seconds in. 

Understandably, people are calling her out.

“I’m disgusted, but not surprised,” Earle-Sears said on X. “This is the ‘tolerant’ left Abigail Spanberger defends. I’m the sitting Lieutenant Governor, second in command in the former Capitol of the confederate states. I’m an immigrant, a Marine and above all, a human being. There is no place for this disgusting hatred in our Commonwealth. Anyone who doesn’t condemn this sign is complicit in approving it.”

Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R)

In a post on X, Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) said the following:

“The hypocrisy of the liberal left on display again. Winsome is so much bigger than this idiocy.”

Attorney General Jason Miyares (R)

In a post on X, Attorney General Jason Miyares (R) said the following:

“This is wrong. @winwithwinsome — and Virginia — deserve better.”

Republican lieutenant governor nominee John Reid (R)

In a post on X, John Reid, the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor, said the following:

“There’s no place for hate here in Virginia. This is wrong. Will @SpanbergerForVA or @SenatorHashmi condemn racist attacks like this?”

Spanberger’s response? 

The sign also drew condemnation from Democratic gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger, who called it “racist, abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Well, Spanberger didn’t actually respond. She had one of her staffers issue a comment. Which is interesting given we are now finding out that the woman holding the sign has been knocking on doors across Virginia on behalf of Spanberger’s campaign! No wonder Abigail’s response to such a racist sign was… tepid.

This woman deliberately invoked one of the most racist contentious periods in our nation’s history. She did so knowing full well that A. Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears is black, and B. that the transgender in question is a creepy gross registered sex offender. 

When called out, reportedly by the county Democrat chairman, her reaction spoke volumes.

Salena, I’m quite certain that many, if not all, of her peers in “We of Action” group feel exactly the same way. After all, they ARE professional protestors for the Democrats. 

As of this writing, Abigail Spanberger herself has said nothing directly in response to this sign. 

“Hey Winsome, if trans can’t share your bathroom, then blacks can’t share my water fountain.”

Again, this sign isn’t satirical by any stretch of the imagination. It. Is. Racist. Furthermore, the debate that was sparked wasn’t what she planned. Not only that, but that Democrat activist is demonstrating her own racism and her own historical illiteracy.

She meant what she wrote and displayed. Period.

UPDATE: Abigail Spanberger responded. And decided to blame Winsome Sears for her ‘objectionable beliefs.’

In other words, she’s totally fine with a creeper sex offender masquerading as a transgender in high school girls bathrooms. And, she’s fine with racist signs. Virginia citizens had better be paying attention.
