You read that correctly. DHS agents were assigned to President Trump’s detail in Butler, PA. They received their security protection training by WEBINAR.

Whistleblowers have told Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., that Secret Service personnel are “woefully unprepared” and given inadequate training to properly protect candidates – including former President Trump – in new claims regarding the assassination attempt against the Republican presidential nominee.

Hawley appeared on “Jesse Watters Primetime” Tuesday night to reveal whistleblowers’ claims that when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents were reassigned to work on the protective details, they were given a single two-hour webinar on Microsoft Teams.

The videos were pre-recorded, with whistleblowers allegedly saying that the videos were riddled with technical mishaps.

Read that again. Agents were given just ONE two-hour training via Webinar on how to protect the President. These were not Secret Service agents. They were agents brought in from other DHS sections. 

Folks, that right there is a failure of epic proportions. One man, Cory Comperatore, was killed, two men were severely injured, and we nearly watched President Trump get his head blown off. All because the Secret Service and the DHS were playing games with President Trump’s life.

Given what we’ve learned in the last two months, it is an absolute miracle that more people weren’t killed. Needless to say, the acting director for the Secret Service was grilled last month and did more tap dancing than we realized. 

Getting put on leave with pay doesn’t teach anyone a lesson here. Oh, but wait, there’s more to these latest revelations.

So, it was a LOCAL cop who managed to neutralize the shooter? WOW. And that makes Rowe’s testimony even more infuriating. Why?

When acting Secret Service director Ronald Rowe Jr. testified before Congress about the incident on July 31, he did not mention the local SWAT team’s action, Watters noted.

Lies of omission are still LIES. 

Whistleblowers also provided additional information about the security failures surrounding the July 13th rally in Butler. 

“The site agent, the lead agent, was known to the Trump campaign to be inexperienced, to be ineffectual, to be, frankly, incompetent at their job,” Hawley previously said in an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “I’m also told by whistleblowers that on that day, she was not enforcing the normal security protocols.”

“She was not checking people’s IDs. She did not use Secret Service agents,” Hawley added. “Most of the agents there that day were not Secret Service agents. They were Homeland Security agents.”

Reading that one of the most basic security protocols, checking ID’s, was NOT in place let alone enforced is infuriating. 

Kim Cheatle was allowed to resign. Agents at the Butler rally are on paid leave. Two men will have months if not years of recovery from being shot, a family is in mourning, and President Trump is campaigning for a second term. 

Given these new revelations, I have questions. 

Are the Secret Service agents surrounding President Trump and his family actually TRAINED agents? Or did they too receive their training via a glitchy two-hour webinar? 

You know who won’t be asking those questions? Most of the media. Instead, this will be yet another story regarding the attempted assassination of President Trump that they’ll work diligently to bury.
