Takin’ the High Road: WH Mouthpiece Josh Earnest Jokes That Trump’s a Coke User [VIDEO]

Josh Earnest isn’t funny. Like Howard Dean not funny. In fact yesterday he attempted a stab at humor about Donald Trump’s unfounded drug use, an accusation first lobbed by Mr. Dean following Debate Number One where Trump sniffled his way through the first food fight with Hillary Clinton. The joke was so bad that it fell flat even amongst some of Hillary’s greatest admirers, the White House press corps. Here’s Stand-Up Josh:

No, Josh, it’s your flippancy. And perhaps your lack of recall:

Facetiously accusing someone of having a drug addiction is not only not funny, but it’s an insult to those who struggle with addiction, every day of their lives. People die every day, lives are ruined, and families destroyed. And this nitwit mouthpiece thinks that joking about addiction, that spreading a false accusation started by the irresponsible Howard Dean, is an appropriate response to a legitimate question of fitness.

Precisely. And let’s not forget that Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign planned a “hit” on Barack Obama for his admitted past cocaine use. Got hypocrisy, Josh? Check.

Paging Michelle Obama: the elevation must be low on Hillary’s High Road.

The poke, of course, was in response to the very real concern a great many voters have with regard to Hillary’s health. See her unsteadiness in the middle of a New York City street on September 11th, continued bouts of unexplained coughing, and her own husband’s inadvertent truth-telling about her “frequent” fainting spells as evidence. Her health issue was even discussed by her campaign staffers, revealed in an email exchange leaked by Julian Assange’s WikiLeaks, where they admit that her health is a “hyper sensitive” issue in her campaign. Whether Trump should be calling for a drug test heading in to Wednesday night’s debate is arguable, but the issue of her physical fitness to hold office is definitely a valid inquiry. And it’s certainly no laughing matter.

While Josh Earnest provides cover for the fact that the Obama Administration itself has been implicated, via FBI files this week, in a systemic cover-up of Hillary Clinton’s lawlessness and recklessness with regard to endangering national security via her unsecured private server, they continue to make jokes about very real, and very serious issues, like drug addiction, facing an increasing number of Americans. From using Benghazi as a distraction from Clinton’s growing email scandal, to labeling their fellow Americans “needy Latinos,” to joking about drug use to marginalize their political foes, they continue to show us who they really are. And who they really are is pure ugliness. And it seems nothing is off limits.
