From the VG Vault of Articles: The Stories of 9/11 [LINKS!]

Many know the basic storyline of 9/11: Twenty-five years ago tomorrow, nineteen men acting in the name of radical Islam hijacked four airliners and turned them into weapons. Nearly 3,000 people were murdered in New York, at the Pentagon, and in a field in Pennsylvania. The dead included office workers, firefighters, police officers, military personnel, children, and passengers who fought back.

Let’s further the story with a bit more truth: The attacks were not a metaphor, not some inevitable payback for American foreign policy, and not a teachable moment about American mistakes. They were mass murder planned and celebrated by an evil Islamic ideology that still exists. Our remembrance of September 11, 2001, starts with these plain facts and we refuse to whitewash any of it.
