Not only do we have Quentin Tarantino spouting off on police violence and brutality in New York City, Chicago had their own exciting weekend of protest with their version of #RiseUpOctober with #ChicagoRising yesterday. Over in the Windy City, the Palestinian flag flew, the LGBT pride flag flew…

..but the American Flag, a symbol of “supremacy” and “terror” just had to be taken down by the protesters as part of their “I Shocked the Sheriff” counter-conference against the International Association of Chiefs of Police. When the group arrived at McCormick Place, where the conference was held, a protestor shimmied up the flagpole where the American flag was replaced with one reading “Unapologetically Black.”
The protestors also took part in a sit-in which blocked the road chanting “Stop cops stop cops what you gonna do what you gonna do when we DE-FUND YOU”.

Waving the Palestinian flag? Taking down the American flag? One may ask “what does it matter”? These protests this weekend have all stem from the #BlackLivesMatter movement. A movement that our very own POTUS seems to advocate:
“I think the reason that the organizers used the phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ was not because they were suggesting nobody else’s lives matter. Rather, what they were suggesting was, there is a specific problem that’s happening in the African-American community that’s not happening in other communities. We, as a society, particularly given our history, have to take this seriously. One of the ways of avoiding the politics of this…is everybody just stepping back for a second and understanding that the African-American community is not just making this up.”-Barack Obama
Given this information, I’d say that POTUS actually believes in the “legitimacy” of these protests. It is “legitimate” to wave the Palestinian flag in the name of solidarity (this is part of the Black Lives Matter argument). Hey, we all know how he feels about Bibi Netanyahu, right…so why not? It is “legitimate” to take down the flag that represents our country and us-collectively as Americans–in the name of a movement. It is “legitimate” to disrespect-to spit on, throw up a middle finger or to inflict violence upon members of our law enforcement-of all racial backgrounds. And, it is “legitimate” to create contention and division amongst residents of an urban populous and law enforcement because of past events with no “legitimate” solutions from our Commander in Chief for the future.
Jacmo says: Sickening how anarchy is taking hold and, it seems, supported by the White House, especially since they seem to support the Black Lives Matter group and their silence whenever a law enforcement officer is murdered.
Lisa Carr says: Randolf Holder, the NYPD officer killed last Tuesday was a black man. Where was the #BlackLivesMatter there? Oh, right. Black lives only matter if they’re not the lives of police officers. If they belong to the force, their lives are expendable. Never mind that he got shot in the head by gang members. Sad that the gang members are given more reverence than law enforcement in this movement.
Tony says: All orchestrated PR, look at the cops standing around and helping take the flag down in that pic. Half the protesters probably paid or given freebies to be there. Here’s the thing though, until our side is willing to push back equally as hard at the black lives matter groups progressive fascism will continue to advance. Our core problem is far too many of us are waiting for someone else to do it because we are afraid of losing our job, being shamed, losing friends, or being called names. Every patriot that fought for liberty before us were willing to defend it no matter what the cost. There is a war against freedom that is being waged by powerful, evil men that want the US destroyed. We either stand and fight or we sit back and go quietly into the night. Right now, sad to say, most are willing to give it all up without even a whimper. That attitude needs to change.
