Rashida Tlaib Twists History Of The Holocaust

Right behind Ilhan Omar stands Rashida Tlaib. If ever two birds of a feather flocked together, these two freshmen congresswomen stand united in their general political philosophy and their disgusting anti-Semitism.

This time, Rashida Tlaib tried a little “Twilight Zone” style revisionist history, recalling that warm, fuzzy time when the Jews of Europe were being slaughtered by the Nazis and Tlaib’s loving, caring, friendly Palestinian family welcomed those Jews to their country… and those ungrateful Jews just ran right over poor Rashida’s family and took all their homes. Or something like that.

Tlaib, a close ally of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who is no stranger to anti-Semitic controversies herself, made the latest statement on a podcast called “Skullduggery” in an episode titled “From Rashida with Love.”

“There’s always kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports,” Tlaib said just after the 28 minute mark. “And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”

Insert all the sounds of records scratching here. Phillip Klein of the Washington Examiner points out a few problems with Tlaib’s warm fuzzies over those kindly Palestinians.

— The Jewish presence in the area currently known as Israel dates back thousands of years, and the modern migration of Jews back there pre-dated the Holocaust by many decades, starting with the migration of Jews from Yemen in 1881.”

— With the Balfour Declaration of 1917, the British government supported the establishment of a Jewish state in the area, an idea rejected by Arabs.”

— In 1937, the British Peel Commission proposed a two-state solution to Jews and Arabs, which the Arabs once again rejected because they could not accept any Jewish presence in the region.”

— During World War II, the Palestinian leader at the time, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Muhammad Amin al-Husayni, met with Adolf Hitler and allied with the Nazis. As the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum recounts, “al-Husayni collaborated with the German and Italian governments by broadcasting pro-Axis, anti-British, and anti-Jewish propaganda via radio to the Arab world; inciting violence against Jews and the British authorities in the Middle East; and recruiting young men of Islamic faith for service in German military, Waffen-SS , and auxiliary units. In turn, the Germans and the Italians used al-Husayni as a tool to inspire support and collaboration among Muslim residents of regions under Axis control and to incite anti-Allied violence and rebellion among Muslims residing beyond the reach of German arms.”

— After World War II, when the Jewish people declared the state of Israel, their official proclamation said, “We appeal – in the very midst of the onslaught launched against us now for months – to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship and due representation in all its provisional and permanent institutions.” Instead of choosing to live peacefully, however, Arab leaders encouraged Arabs to flee Israel, and the next day, the young nation was invaded by Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq.”

It was an invasion of LOVE, if you ask Tlaib. After the Grand Mufti played kissy-face with Hitler, they totally wanted to live peacefully with the Jews fleeing Europe for some kind of safe harbor. This happened in the Tlaib-Twilight-Zone version, now playing on all screens inside her head.

Rashida Tlaib saying something crazy isn’t worthy of news. Nope. CUE THE POUNCING. When “Republicans pounce,” THAT is news. Or, in the words of the Washington Post, those mean Republicans are criticizing poor little Rashida Tlaib again.

“There is no justification for the twisted and disgusting comments made by Rashida Tlaib just days after the annual Day of Holocaust Remembrance,” House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) said in a statement. “More than six million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust; there is nothing ‘calming’ about that fact.”

Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), the No. 3 Republican in the House, issued a statement describing Tlaib’s remarks as “sickening.”

“I call on Speaker Pelosi and Leader Hoyer to finally take action against Representative Tlaib and other members of the Democratic caucus who are spreading vile anti-Semitism,” she said, referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.). “All of us, regardless of party, must stand as Americans against the evil of anti-Semitism. If the Democratic leadership continues to stand by in silence, they are enabling the spread of evil.”

The episode marks the second time in recent weeks Republicans have seized on out-of-context remarks by a freshman Democratic lawmaker.

Last month, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Tex.) criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for the way she phrased a reference to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Other Republicans followed suit, including President Trump, who tweeted a video that showed snippets of Omar’s comments interspersed with footage of the twin towers burning.

And the congresswoman is tweeting out her response to the story that she’s being “criticized” for her remarks.

Those mean, rotten, pouncing Republicans.

If you only take a look at the first part of the quote, yes, it does look like she’s saying the Holocaust gives her a “calming feeling.” Of course, that is not the complete quote or the whole story. The real story is that she’s willfully twisting history, and the left-wing press is running to her rescue, despite her long track record of anti-Semitic, anti-Israel comments from day one.

The story isn’t that a sitting congresswoman is twisting history to suit her anti-Semitism. It’s that Republicans had the bad taste to point it out. Thanks, media – whatever would we do without you?

UPDATE 4 PM EDT:
When CNN is asking why Tlaib said this, then you KNOW the congresswoman done screwed up.

A broken clock can apparently read a history book, it seems.

Rashida Tlaib saying something crazy isn’t worthy of news.
Nor is saying something obscene, like a libel.

    out-of-context remarks
No, they are NOT out of context. Lying once again, eh, WaPo?

    Policing my words
Yes, b***h, we’re policing your vile lies.
I will never allow you to take my words out of context
    No need, you vile serpent.

As to the twisting of history….
That’s something islam does. An awful lot of imams will tell their people lies about history – like that the Bible was written after the Koran*, and that the Jews never resided in “Palestine”, along with things like the blood libel. They lie and twist to make their desired version of ‘history’ the one the people believe. And it works.

I can’t yet really know if Tlaib is a true believer or a twister. Either way, we really shouldn’t let these sorts be in our gov’t. (One of many reasons that strict islam is incompatible with a free republic.)

(* I’ve met more than one muslim that actually believed this. And they believe it fervently, no matter what evidence you might conjure against it. They are taught that everyone out there is conspiring against islam, and we‘re all the saps for believing the history written by our masters. Yes, it’s a CULT.)

    “WE” NEED….
    More women in the Legislature…
    More Islam in the Legislator…
    More blacks the in Legislature…
    More “gay” in the Legislature…
    More EQ in the Legislature…
    More intersectionality in the Legislature…
More “population” based representatives in the Legislature….
I’ve been privileged to watch the track record of the majority of individuals that have been emplaced, over several decades.
    “On paper” =/= experiential.
Let’s just say, feel free to blindly saddle me with the widely misused “terms”-
Racist, homophobic, xenophobic, chauvinist, heartless, unaware, low-educated,…et cetera, ad naueam. . Oh, there ARE others from “the list” available. but these will do for now.
After this many years of “matter-of-fact” name calling, I no longer care.
In the interest of brevity, feel free to cover ALL of the above, and refer to me as ….Unhyphenated.

Well said Deanna and Gentlemen. I agree that all this “diversity” in Congress has done NOTHING to strengthen our country, and much to damage it, and this muslim B*&ch is just the latest example. She and all her ilk need to be thrown out! While we’re at it, might as well include idiots that think Guam might tip over, etc. , as they couldn’t even pass grade school, let alone show enough intelligence to be allowed to serve in Congress.

The Founding Fathers never thought we’d have people so corrupt, or of such low intelligence “representing” us. As they pointed out, they had given us “A republic, if you can keep it” (Benjamin Franklin) and that “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” (John Adams).. This is why all those mentioned above do not belong in their positions.

Her Palestinian ancestors offered a safe haven to the Jews in much the same way that Nazi Germany offered them hygiene facilities.
