As Portland becomes more of a parody of itself day by day, Oregon Governor, Tina Kotek, has a message for Donald Trump: send the troops home.
Our citizen soldiers deserve better than to be uprooted from their families and careers, only to be mobilized for an illegal mission.”-Tina Kotek
This in a letter to eneral Gregory Guillot, the Commander of the U.S. Northern Command for the National Guard.
She does realize that illegal missions happen on the streets of Portland daily, right? Various and sundry drug deals, prostitution and, thefts, destruction of property, public disturbances, loitering and littering, setting sh#t on fire. Since when is the governor of Oregon concerned with anything illegal?

It’s bad enough that the ICE Officers were antagonizing the Antifa folks outside of the facility. Portland certainly does not need the National Guard doing the same. And, damn it, Tina’s going to stand up for the Antifa crazies, just as a good Democrat should.
Of course, Kristi Noem’s visit yesterday did not improve Tina’s disposition. Noem verbally assaulted (their words, not mine) the legendary man in the chicken outfit! Yes, he is still there. The unemployed, former elementary school math teacher who dons a chicken costume every day. We’re going on a few weeks now of this guy wearing the same crusty, chicken suit. Honestly, I can smell the words crusty chicken suit as I type them.
BREAKING: DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stares down army of Antifa and a guy in a chicken suit from the rooftop of the ICE facility here in Portland.
Noem says:
"Hey; Guy in the chicken suit. You can do better. Too bad they are uneducated and ill-informed."

Still, Kotek and residents don’t see any reason for troops to be on the streets of Portland aside of anything to do with ICE:
I see the AP covered a wide variety of demographics in this little short. Old guys reliving the 60s, pretty much. They chose a neutral setting-free of tents and drug addicts. I guarantee if they walked a quarter of a mile in either direction along that path, they’d find them, along with random piles of stinky trash.
There are basically only two types of people walking around, those who have a lot of money, and those who have none.
This is very much a West Coast phenomenon, similar in many ways to the mess that San Francisco is in. In both liberal enclaves, it is normal to turn a corner, off of a block of high-end shopping, and walk into a row of homeless tents, the smell of human waste and burning drugs commingled.”-David Marcus
But, “there is no insurrection in Oregon”.
I reiterated that I continue to be focused on doing whatever I can to protect Oregonians from military intervention or harmful federal law enforcement tactics. Oregon is united against military policing in our communities.”-Tina Kotek
After all, Oregon is their home, not a military target, right, Tina? This (stolen) land was made for you and me? But not guards at the ICE Facility? Man, if I were a liberal, I would feel a song coming on…
There are homeless people sprinkled around center city Philadelphia, for example, but you have to go looking for the pure human misery that is Kensington with its needle park. In Portland, it is omnipresent.
Since President Donald Trump announced that he would send federal authorities to clean up the city, we have seen much of that most useless form of discourse, pictures from Portland of lovely brunches or a pretty storefront put on social media by liberals to say, ‘Look, it’s fine.'”-David Marcus
Omnipresent but “nothing to see here”, says Tina Kotek. Against military policing in “our” (stolen) communities, she says. In other words: business as usual in Portland. Let the drug addicts continue to roam the streets and litter them with needles and human waste while the liberals go to brunch at Fisherman’s Porch. This is how they like it. Give a great impression to outsiders looking in while they trip over the despair and the filth. Pfft. It’s just Portland being weird, they say. Embrace the weirdness already.
THEY voted for the mess that they are in and Tina Kotek is responsible.
Portland is not a war zone. This from the original Defund the Police candidate.
As far as “protecting” the city, who needs the National Guard? Portland has a man of courage in a chicken suit giving guided tours. They have the army of senior citizen folk singers led by Maxine Dexter. And, let’s not forget the naked bicycle gang rolling into town this weekend. That might just do the trick and scare everyone the hell away, to include the illegals.
Be careful what you all wish for, liberals.
