The rather biased mainstream media and the Democrats have pushed something they call “War on Women” since 2010.   This so-called war in their minds is the Man keeping women from the ability to murder in utero and giving them the “right to pay” at a rate set by legislators and not the market.  In other words, it is emotionally driven, disconnected from reality and divisive.

The results of the ongoing campaign to create this war on women?  According to an AP poll, this strategy is backfiring spectacularly

Women have moved in the GOP’s direction since September. In last month’s AP-GfK poll, 47 percent of female likely voters said they favored a Democratic-controlled Congress while 40 percent wanted the Republicans to capture control. In the new poll, the two parties are about even among women, 44 percent prefer the Republicans, 42 percent the Democrats.

What are the issues voters care about?  The economy, health care, terrorism and Ebola.  Safety comes before social issues.  The simplest answer is that women are not dumb.  In addition, women like men want a reasonable assurance of safety and economic security.   Women are not dumb.

Another question this woman has for the feminists and fighters of the “War on Women:” why do you want to see women treated like children and expect them to compete directly with men?  If we are capable of being a police officer, fire fighter, tool and dye worker then we are capable of dealing with our coworkers and their quirks, not protected as if we are some Victorian blushing maidens.  Pay based on merit, salable skills and on demand for the job makes sense.

In addition, there are some inconvenient facts around so called pro-choice that are becoming known.   The first one being the appalling conditions in the abortion clinics when health inspectors, firefighters, and police walk into these so-called clinics.  Any attempt by the city or by county health departments to hold these clinics to standards similar to say your doctor’s office are opposed as part of this so-called War on Women.  Courts and legislatures are ignoring the cries of Planned Parenthood and its allies (Finally!) and are holding these clinics to the same standards as a medical practice would be required to keep.  Strangely, instead of applauding this move, the Democrats are whining that reproductive choice is denied.  Really?  Basic standards of infection control and cleanliness are elementary and are taught to medical professionals.  And why not demand women be given the best quality care?   I thought Roe v Wade was about not having women be treated by back alley abortionists…. Or was it?

Speaking for myself I want to be treated as an adult and be given the respect as one.  That is why I vote GOP.
