Poll Gets Hidden When Trans Activists Don’t Like The Answers

When Americans are asked directly, without euphemisms, a majority are against medical interventions that could permanently affect children.

Who says so? A new poll from an outfit called Change Research, based in San Francisco, which per their website, works with left-wing organizations like Planned Parenthood, NARAL, Emily’s List, the American Federation of Teachers, many state Democrat groups, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. This is a leftist polling outfit who is dedicated to leftist causes. And they conducted a poll on how Americans view gender ideology, transgenderism, and their favorite term, “gender-affirming care,” which in this case means how the American public sees medical and surgical procedures for children, like puberty blockers, hormone treatment, and sex change surgeries.

The poll results did not reflect what Change Research wanted them to say, to their great disappointment.

In the online session, lead pollster Betsy App called the results ‘bad news,’ saying the team would struggle to ‘educate’ the public about sex-reassignment for kids. She said it was time for ‘rebranding puberty blockers’ with a less-divisive term.”

‘I want to give us all a reality check,’ App told the online session.”

‘We are facing an uphill battle when it comes to voters’ fundamental beliefs about the relationship between sex and gender.”

In fact, the poll results were so bad that Change Research has no plans to release the results at all. So, how are they getting out? The Daily Mail attended the webinar, saying that the outlet was “initially invited” and then told not to come. They didn’t listen.

Change Research had already declined our requests to see the poll results. They initially invited DailyMail.com to join the webinar, but then uninvited us. We attended anyway, after registering with a personal email address.”

At the start of Friday’s 30-minute session, the group’s marketing chief Molly McInerney said they would ‘not be making these results widely available’ and urged attendees not to ‘share these findings.”

Nevertheless, DailyMail.com is releasing the results because they’re in the public interest.”

McInerney repeatedly rejected DailyMail.com’s requests to share the poll results. During the webinar’s Q&A, we asked again about publicizing the results, but were immediately kicked out of the Zoom session.”

In an email exchange after the session, McInerney said DailyMail.com had been uninvited because the ‘briefing was not open to the press.”

‘We are not making the survey publicly available, because the poll was conducted for internal research purposes and was never intended for public release,’ she added.”

*snort* Suuuuuuure. So, just how bad are these poll results? They’re bad – for the left. It’s clear that the American public at large is not buying the idea that kids should be medically transitioned at all, and don’t believe that people can change their sex at will.

The results echo findings from other polls — that most Americans say sex is immutable, and is not changed by how a person self-identifies. Some 94 percent of Republicans feel that way, while 74 percent of Democrats say people can change their sexual identity.”

Respondents were also strongly against gender-affirming care for children.”

Some 60 percent were against puberty blockers, 56 percent opposed cross-sex hormones, and 60 percent were against removing girls’ breasts. Barely a third of respondents supported such interventions on kids.”

Instead, respondents agreed on one treatment for trans youth: counselling.”

Nearly four fifths said talk therapy was best for helping teens grapple with identity challenges.”

Those surveyed were more willing to let kids get sex-reassignment care under certain conditions — after they’d got counselling, when their parents were on board, and when the treatments were reversible.”

In their own words, respondents objected to ‘permanent’ or ‘physical, non-reversible changes to the body.”

‘It means butchering a human body to try and change a person’s sex as determined by the CHROMOSOMES through biology,’ said one respondent.”

‘A person is and always shall be the sex assigned by their chromosomes, and nothing will change that.”

The online session then shifted. Obviously, Change Research wants to bury the poll and act like they never conducted it. The focus of the conversation then became “how do we change people’s minds?” Apparently, better branding and going fully Orwell is the answer for everything!

In discussing the results, Change pollsters stressed that the public was wrong to oppose sex reassignment treatments for minors, and that they were on a mission to alter attitudes.”

App, a Denver-based mom-of-three, including a ‘gender creative first-grader,’ said she was ‘surprised by these findings’ and the ‘strong headwind’ against doling out hormones to teens.”

Winning the argument, she said, involved changing language. ‘Gender affirming care,’ she said, was a ‘great term that we should continue using’ because it resonated with the public.”

Not so for puberty blockers, she added.”

‘One of the key next steps is rebranding puberty blockers,’ said App.”

‘This is a term that’s not doing us any favors.”

App said puberty blockers are reversible and can give trans kids a chance to buy time to make bigger decisions about their identity. Critics say they cause long-term harm and that users typically get locked in to a lifetime of medicalization.”

Is anyone shocked that one of these pollsters has a “gender creative first-grader”? Anyone?

Transgender ideology is being shoved in the faces of adults and children at every turn, but apparently the general public isn’t buying what is being sold. The left’s solution? SELL HARDER! CHANGE ALL THE LANGUAGE! PUNISH THE PEASANTS FOR THEIR WRONGTHINK!

While I am concerned about the left’s push to change the language to these nice-sounding euphemisms, I am also mildly amused at their insistence that they’ll be able to change people’s attitudes about something as immutable as sex. They can’t even convince people to drink Bud Light any more. The brand has taken a possibly fatal hit when people even turn free beer down.

But let’s think about how the left will go about this language change. After all, they have managed to get the media to use “gender-affirming care” everywhere. How will they try and rebrand “puberty blockers”? Knowing the left, they will try something anodyne in an attempt to disguise what the drugs do, and say something like “medication protocol” instead of “totally reversible drug that absolutely does not cause bone damage.” Apparently, the side effects of Lupron when used in other medical interventions can be discussed, but not when the drug is used off-label as a puberty blocker.

Even though the current attitudes of the American public are reflected in this poll, beware. Change Research is hiding these results because the left is playing the long game, and they are relentless. This absolutely will not stop until the public at large refuses to play their games, and makes pushing gender ideology and medical intervention on children politically and economically unpalatable.

“Is anyone shocked that one of these pollsters has a “gender creative first-grader”? Anyone?”… Well, with a name like “APP”, and the fact that she? lives in denver, no, not at all.. it’s nothing but an open proggy sewer, and those that dwell there are mostly what you’d expect from such environs…

this isn’t going to stop until the “progressives” fear for their lives if they out themselves

Their narrative is crumbling down around their ears and they know it.

There’s a word for it: evangelism.
Remember this is a religious issue, part of the worldview of Progressivism.

    rebranding puberty blockers
This is lying in order to seduce people into supporting their religion.

This absolutely will not stop until the public at large refuses to play their games
It won’t stop until we realize it’s a religious effort, and re-evangelize the people into Christian morals and American ideals.

(And the only way I ever did drink Bud Light was if it was free and there was nothing else available.)
