If you want to see desperation on parade, look no further than the interview Cecile Richards gave to George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week.”
Stephanopoulos apparently decided to eat his Wheaties and ask real questions, even though he couched them in the nicest possible way to Richards.

A few notable highlights from the interview:
1) Richards admits that the doctors shown in the two videos released so far have been reprimanded.
Stephanopoulos then asked Richards about reports that the doctors shown in the videos had been “reprimanded” after the videos’ release and pointed out that Richards herself apologized for the “tone” of the videos.
“How have they been reprimanded?” he asked.
“Planned Parenthood has broken no laws,” she said defiantly, after conceding they had been reprimanded. (emphasis mine) “We have the highest standards; the care and healthcare and safety of our patients is our most important priority.”
2) Richards thinks of Planned Parenthood clinics as equivalent to hospitals. At the 6:22 mark in the above clip, Richards says (in regard to tissue donation practices) “What happens in this country, at Planned Parenthood and other hospitals…”
Planned Parenthood cannot be considered, in any sense of the word, a hospital. But the statement is highly revealing as to Richards’ belief that Planned Parenthood delivers medical care to women, when, in reality, they can only refer out for medical services beyond abortion and birth control. And who admitted that to FactCheck.org? Why, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, that’s who – the same woman who will also make sure you get your ordered baby livers intact.
3) Stem Express, a company that Planned Parenthood works with, advertises that they can provide financial benefits to clinics.
“But Stem Express, which is one of the companies you work with, they have a brochure where it talks about the financial profits, the financial benefits…” he began, before Richards interrupted.
“Stem Express is a for-profit company — that’s not Planned Parenthood, we’re 100 percent nonprofit company,” said Richards quickly.
“But it talks about the financial benefits to the clinics…” he rebutted.
“There are no financial benefits to the clinics!” she exclaimed.
“Absolutely none?” he asked.
“Absolutely,” she repeated.
Really?

If there are no financial benefits, then I look forward to seeing Stem Express make their formal correction and apology before they are sued for false advertising by Planned Parenthood. And let’s see if Dr. Mary Gatter actually drives a Lamborghini or not.
And finally…
4) Richards states that abortion procedures are never altered to get organs.
In one video, Planned Parenthood Dr. Deborah Nucatola said that “some people will actually try to change the presentation so that it’s not vertex” in order to better harvest whatever organs are in demand.
“You know, we’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m going to basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” she said in the video.
“As long as the procedure is never altered,” said Stephanopoulos. “And you’re stating that unequivocally?”
“Absolutely,” said Richards.
But as Stephanopoulos notes, David Daleiden from the Center for Medical Progress, the group investigating Planned Parenthood and producing these videos, says there are at least 10, maybe 12 more videos to come. Richards tries to dismiss that by calling the group “militant.” But how on earth can she know what is on those next 10 videos?
Richards is clearly in spin mode, and it isn’t pretty. The interview makes her come off as desperate and defensive, which, if Planned Parenthood was the wronged party here, is definitely not the tack to take. And if she is put in the position of eating her words with the release of more videos, well…. we’ll have the popcorn handy.
I want to see the signed form saying that these are voluntary donations of tissue. And i want the women whose names are on them to step up and say, yes, they knew what they were signing. I don’t think any of these were informed consents.
Then again, consider how many forms there may have been:
Here sign this, here and here, and initial here and here to indicate you’ve previously signed and initialed here and there….and so on.
Hurry, hurry, let’s get your consent and — most importantly — your money before you have a change of mind and heart and walk out the door to save the life of our property, er, um, your child.
I can attest that this is accurate. ^^^
That’s my point exactly. I don’t think any of those women would have agreed to it willingly.
what a pathetic excuse for a human being
She’d make a great running mate for Hillary.
