Obama pranced and preened through the Obamacare White House event yesterday. It was a day and speech of a whole boatload of me, myself, and I.
As someone who warned that Obamacare would be the mess it is, this day of “celebration” and new ‘FIX-IT’ laws gave me a total headache, with zero prescriptions available to ward it off.
In leaps CNN with an attempt to salvage the day and plan for the mid-terms. Obamacare wasn’t popular THEN, but it’s super popular now!
So popular that the Biden Administration convinced Obama to come back to the White House for a hopefully game-changing victory lap.
“It is good to be back in the White House. It’s been a while,” Obama said when he began his remarks. “I confess I heard some changes have been made by the current President since I was last here. Apparently Secret Service agents have to wear aviator sunglasses now. The Navy Mess has been replaced by a Baskin-Robbins. And there’s a cat running around.”
Obama began his speech by addressing his host as “Vice President Biden” before quickly correcting himself. “That was a joke!” he exclaimed, walking over to give Biden a hug. “That was all set up. My President, Joe Biden.”
This from the guy who, as Deanna reminded us two days ago, famously proclaimed that we shouldn’t underestimate Joe’s ability to F**k things up. Well, they both did yesterday. In a multitude of ways. Some of which were incredibly painful and infuriating to watch.

There are more of those painful videos for sure. The thing is, Obama was brought in to save the day, prop up Obamacare, and help rally the Democrats to coast to a win in this fall’s midterms. CNN is here to help!
Health care famously contributed to "a shellacking" for Obama in the 2010 midterms, but could the now-popular law boost Biden and Democrats in '22? Obama returns to the White House today for the first time since 2017. @Kevinliptakcnn & I explore why: https://t.co/9zNLtxfOkc

You know Obama has ignored all the criticism of his pet program. That was made abundantly clear yesterday during the White House Obamacare show.
Back to CNN swooping in to save the day. Gaze upon these quotes from their cheerleading article:
With many of Biden’s legislative priorities stalled, Obama on Tuesday seemed to offer a preview of Democrats’ midterm message.
“Progress feels way too slow sometimes. Victories are often incomplete,” he said, citing the health law as an example of persistence in governing.

His return to the White House is the first sign of what many Democrats hope will be his increased involvement in the 2022 midterm elections. The former President and former first lady Michelle Obama are two of the most sought-after party leaders — expected to be in high demand by Senate and House candidates this year.
That could potentially stand in contrast to Biden, whose approval ratings remain near historic lows heading into campaign season. Biden is eager to campaign for Democrats in the coming year, but has also made known he is open to any role his party sees as helpful.
All of this from the SAME report that admitted that Obama refused to endorse Biden until the very last minute. The very same report also admitted that Obama hasn’t stepped foot in the White House since January 2017. You’d think that if Obama and Biden were such great pals, we’d see more of Obama. But noooo… Folks, it’s a giant red flag that Obama has stayed away.
He ONLY showed up to get kudos for HIS Obamacare mess. Biden was just a sadly wandering by product.
Which led Dana Milbank of the Washington Post to gnash his teeth and wish for better days.
Therein lies the problem. President Obama: Your country needs you. Democracy is on the ropes. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment for the ship of state, and no one is better able to help the cause than Obama.
How will that work when Kamala admitted the quiet part out loud yesterday?

Well, for all that word salad while she was wearing yet another iteration of a brown UPS suit, Kamala spoke truly. We got was what we DIDN’T order courtesy of Nancy Pelosi, Barak Obama, and others, INCLUDING Mitt “Mittens” Romney who was the original architect of this damned behemoth.
There is nothing to cheer here and everything to mourn. Obamacare has been the absolute worst for us all. Every single one of us here at Victory Girls has a story to tell and it isn’t pretty.

Long before I came on board with Victory Girls (BEST decision every BTW!), I spent a lot of time trying to convince our CO elected officials to vote NO on Obamacare. The Democrats willingly said YAY! while the Republicans understood that we needed time to assess. Cue Nancy Pelosi’s infamous line of ‘pass the bill to see what’s in it.’ And here we are. Obama doing a victory lap while the Biden Administration tries to make bank off of this, and hopefully salvage something out of the midterms.
Good Luck. Meanwhile, Conservatives? You need to step up and sharpen your swords.

“I spent a lot of time trying to convince our CO elected officials to vote NO on Obamacare. The Democrats willingly said YAY! “.. speaking of Colorado Dims Nina, how about the new “kill your baby till birth” law that our sidesaddle governor just signed??.. Colorado is truly lost
The now popular law?? Jeff Zeleny ought to get out more and talk to people. A friend’s premium just went up about $600/month!
“ Meanwhile, Conservatives? You need to step up and sharpen your swords. ” I can see them with their swords. Too bad, at best it’ll be a gunfight, at worst a nuclear exchange.
