I swear I can’t make this garbage up. I mean, I could, but I don’t have to because our foolish president actually told graduates at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on Wednesday that climate change should be added to the list of serious national security threats to the United States.

This is the man who goes on tours spouting how “radicals” and “extremists” shooting up Muhammed cartoon contests, detonating bombs at the Boston Marathon, flying planes into buildings, or beheading people don’t properly represent Islam; a religion of peace is what it is, or so he keeps telling us. Yes, the Apologist-in-Chief wants us to be more concerned about global climate change than the advance of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

“This is not just a problem for countries on the coast or for certain regions of the world. Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune,” the president said. “So I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. And so we need to act – and we need to act now.”

In Barack Obama lingo the phrases “make no mistake” and “we need to act now” really mean, “I am about to spend tons and tons of taxpayer dollars on something that I really can’t fix, but my arrogant, bombastic, overly-inflated ego makes me unable to admit that I cannot truly fix any issue, large or small, fabricated or factual.”

In recent months, Obama has been pushing for action on global warming as matters of health, environmental protection, and international obligation. Whatever that means. I’m a smart gal, but some of what he says just makes me want to throw things at my television, so I shut him off.

He blabbered on about how climate change affects poverty and social tensions, and that is fuels instability and further fosters terroristic and violent activities around the globe. So, there it is, people. He is saying that not only are you destroying the environment by burning fossil fuels, which is a laughable, unproven stance on its own, but he also is saying that you are holding down the poor and it is your fault that terrorists are attacking us and people abroad.

He told the graduates that they were to be the first generation of officers to begin their service in a world where it is increasingly clear that “climate change will shape how everyone of our services plan, operate, train, equip, and protect their infrastructure.”

Am I in an episode of The Twilight Zone? Haven’t the climate and weather patterns always affected how our military trains and plans operations? It is times like these that make it painfully obvious that this man has no idea how to lead the most powerful military in the world, let alone inspire them to greatness.

Of course, because the Republican controlled Congress is resistant to his push for more environmental regulations, President Obama has been using executive orders to cut greenhouse gas emissions, and making climate change a recurring theme in his recent speeches.

After he finished his commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., on Wednesday, he visited Stamford, Conn., to attend a Democratic fundraiser in a private home where the 30 supporters paid up to $33,400 a plate. Hmmm, I wonder if there were healthy, environmentally friendly dishes served?
