The White House has announced that President Barack Obama will visit a mosque in Baltimore on Wednesday. According to the Baltimore Sun, the President will visit the Islamic Society of Baltimore Mosque to discuss religious freedom.

Mr. Obama has visited a mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mr. Obama has visited the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

Mr. Obama has visited a mosque in Egypt.

But, Barack Hussein Obama has never visited a mosque within the United States of America before. Since many Americans, particularly American Muslims, think Obama is a Muslim, he probably didn’t want to add to the perception. Writing for Forbes.com shortly after Mr. Obama was inaugurated, Asma Gull Hasan posited:

Perhaps it is my–and most Muslims’– loyalty to the umma that is behind our insistence on seeing Obama as Muslim. Islam survived and continues to survive because Muslims believe we have to respect and take care of each other, as members of the umma. If we were to start excluding members, or revising our broad guidelines for admittance, the very essence of the community feeling that is important in Islam, that gives me and other Muslims comfort everyday, would be undercut. So when Obama says he’s not Muslim, my umma mentality says I know better. Once you have a Muslim parent, especially a dad, you’re in. Whether you like it or not, Muslims all over the world see you as one of them.

Nothing has changed this perception as Obama has consistently criticized Christianity and shown love for the Muslims. Such as:

Mr. Obama decides to visit a mosque in the United States. So, which one would he pick. A nice, liberal mosque. Pshaw, the very ideal. No, Mr. Obama is going to a Baltimore mosque with ties to the dead terrorist Anwar Al-Awlaki, the cleric who radicalized Major Nidal Hasan, who committed workplace violence in Ft. Hood, Texas. (Read that with dripping sarcasm, please). Read the CNN dossier on Mr. Awlaki here. He got droned to Paradise by Mr. Obama. Mr. Awlaki used to lead the Islamic Society of Baltimore. Well done, Mr. Obama.

I argue with myself all the time (shut up, Toni, you do not), does Obama have a tin ear for good public relations, is he venal and small, or is he poking us and laughing at us all as fools. I cannot decide.

We will be lectured once again, by Mr. Obama, not to blame Islam for Islamic Terrorism, although he won’t say the “Islamic Terrorism” words. We will be told not to commit acts of violence against our Muslim neighbors. And, we will probably get educated on the “Holy Qu’ran”. Spare me, Lord Jesus.
