Obama Throws Cubans Under The Bus With Immediate Stop To “Wet Foot, Dry Foot” Policy [VIDEO]

Obama can’t help it, he had to finish out his 8 year term by throwing everyone he can under the bus. As of yesterday, we can add Cubans to the list. Those in Castro’s Cuba who put their lives on line to escape that hellhole and hopefully make it to sanctuary and freedom in the United States got thrown under the bus yesterday.

President Barack Obama announced Thursday he is ending a longstanding immigration policy that allows any Cuban who makes it to U.S. soil to stay and become a legal resident.

The repeal of the “wet foot, dry foot” policy is effective immediately.

Yes, you read that correctly. Any poor soul who right now is either making their way to the US on dangerously leaky boats or is scrapping every penny together to figure out how to escape just had Freedom’s door slammed in their face.

Oh..but that’s ok.

Havana has agreed in return to begin accepting Cubans who have been ordered to be deported in the U.S., a move the island has rejected for decades, USA Today reported, citing a congressional source. The policy is effective immediately.

OH REALLY?? So tell me? How many Cubans who’ve made it to the US are actually facing deportation? Bueller Bueller? I’d be willing to bet that their numbers are far FAR lower than those of the illegal immigrants in this country who’ve been deported multiple times and somehow show back up in time to kill Americans such as Kate Steinle and a 13 year old girl raped by an illegal who’d been deported 19 times.

Evidently things like that don’t matter to Obama. Of course, we all know he’s never met a dictator he doesn’t like. Then again, they love him because they’ve known from the get go that he’s gonna give them a pass. And he has. Cuba and Iran are prime examples of his “largess.”

Keep in mind that this particular policy was put in place by President Clinton. Yeah well, supposedly this latest move is to keep professionals from leaving. Go here, here, and here to understand a bit about why Cubans wouldn’t want to stay in the land of the NOT FREE. You tell me…can YOU live on $25 a month?

Needless to say, many aren’t pleased and I don’t blame them.

Obama says in his statement that Cuban-American community has been the center of the Administration policies. Prominent Cuban-Americans have a different opinion.  U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL):

“President Obama’s numerous concessions and extension of diplomatic recognition to the murderous Castro regime does not constitute an achievement. To the contrary, his policy has been a succession of betrayals of America’s longstanding commitment to human rights and freedom, and a betrayal of the Cuban people who have suffered under oppression for far too long. This last act of diminishing lifelines to Cubans languishing in totalitarianism is one final despicable betrayal of a people who deserve better from an American president.”

Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.):

To be sure, today’s announcement will only serve to tighten the noose the Castro regime continues to have around the neck of its own people.

Congress was not consulted prior to this abrupt policy announcement with just nine days left in this administration. The Obama administration seeks to pursue engagement with the Castro regime at the cost of ignoring the present state of torture and oppression, and its systematic curtailment of freedom.

Yes indeed. President Pen and Phone struck again.

Is this move good for those living in Cuba who aspire for more? Given what we know and what we are learning about that country?  The answer is NO. Are there problems with some who’ve gotten here and have been a detriment?  Yes. And there needs to be some way of handling those issues.

However, the fact remains, this in your face move by Obama says one thing and one thing only about him.

For those in Cuba who want freedom, who want to earn more than a mere $25 a month, who want to aspire to more, don’t look to Obama for the answers. Look to America.

And please remember, Obama leaves in 8 days.

Let’s be perfectly clear: Cuban refugees tend to vote conservative because they know the horrors of Communism, and they helped Trump take Florida and helped Rubio with his win, helping to hold the Senate.

Barack Obama is vindictive. He’s not the “good man,” the “humanitarian” so many think he is. He does NOTHING that’s not political. The Communist regime in Cuba is cheering this move. Why? Because it forces Cubans to stay in that horrible, repressive country where they have no food, no opportunity, and no hope for freedom.

    There’s your Obama legacy.

This is an aside from a spot I caught of Rush Limbaugh’s Show. BHO is the only, the only, eight-year term President who during every day of this time the nation has been at war. So much for pre-mature reception of an award not earned, the Nobel Peace Prize.

This stinks to high heaven, just like the original Bay of Pigs in ’61. Has Little Marco said anything about this, or is he too busy being butthurt about Rex Tillerson not calling Putin a war criminal? Just makes me sick, like everything else President Small Man has done!
