NRA Convention: David Hogg Waxes Philosophic-Again and Again.

NRA Convention: David Hogg Waxes Philosophic-Again and Again.

With this weekend’s NRA Convention in full-swing, we knew David Hogg couldn’t resist the temptation to get in a few seconds of your attention. Actually, it was more like minutes. Minutes that felt like hours.

In a Twitter rant, last night, David Hogg told all of his followers everything they needed to know about the NRA. Click in link to see all excruciating 7 minutes and 39 seconds:

If you did not get past the 3-minute mark, we will sum things up in short. In 3, 2 and 1…

The NRA engages in criminal activity. “Again and again”. Check.

They (the NRA) puts gun owners at risk. “Again and again and again and again”. Check.

They (the NRA) want to sell as many guns as possible. “Again and again and again.” Check.

Donald Trump colluded with Russia. Of course he did. Me thinks Hogg’s been under a rock over the past few weeks.

They (the NRA) want to Harden schools and further perpetuate the school-to-prison pipeline. (Oh boy…)

They (The NRA) want to spread their “Colonialistic and Imperialistic” culture to other countries. (Gotta get those words in there…)

There’s too much “religious bull$hit and evangelicalism” in this world. (Yes, because Ivy League students hate that religious bull$hit and evangelcalism is even worse!)

In fact, he was still riding the Jesus train a few hours later:

I’m sure I missed a few other nuggets of wisdom from Harvard Hogg. For extra bonus points, I guess I could have counted the times he uttered “again and again and again” or dropped the f-bomb but not before we unpack some of the lunacy that we just witnessed before our eyes. Let’s take, the school-to-prison pipeline blathering for example:

Let’s think about what they actually mean when they say they want to harden schools. They want to arm teachers, they want to put in armed security guards, they want to have a single point of entry with a metal detector and a barbed wire fence all around it. But you know what I just described to you? A f#cking prison because that’s what they want. They want more kids to be put in prison. They want more kids to be criminalized again and again and again so they can grow the school-to-prison pipeline plan-they can grow the profits of the prison-military-industrial complex…”-David Hogg

Ok, let’s think about this. Let’s talk about the Barack Obama-era school-to-prison pipeline. You know, the one some of us parents like to lovingly call the “Hug a Thug” program. The one where kids constantly get a pass for being little jerks in our schools. This includes all forms of low-grade bullying, cussing teachers out, vandalizing property, only to get a slap on the wrist and a joke of a detention slip before they are back in the classroom again and up to the same bad behavior. This also includes allowing children with psychologically disturbing behaviors to go unflagged and walk about the hallways as if nothing is wrong. Why? Because we have to give every child the equal opportunity to an education even if it means marginalizing the good ones and putting them at risk.

The overarching goals of the 2014 directive to mitigate the school-to-prison pipeline, reduce suspensions and expulsions, and to prevent racially biased discipline are laudable and should be explored. However, any policy seeking to achieve these goals requires basic common sense and an understanding that failure to report trouble students, like Cruz, to law enforcement can have dangerous repercussions.”-Senator Marco Rubio

Let’s also ponder on this. If some teachers chose to be armed-note-I said “chose”-and if there were armed security guards in schools, would this really be a bad thing? Guns aside, a security guard’s presence could have saved the life of a young woman who was beaten to death in a fight. A single point of entry with a metal detector could have prevented Nikolas Cruz from walking into school that day with a weapon. How preventative measures such as added security and the concept of securing a perimeter at schools perpetuate the school-to-prison pipeline and the prison-military-industrial complex is beyond me. But again, I’m clearly not Harvard material (and that’s quite okay).

The Parkland shooting was terrible. I cannot even imagine how those parents felt that day and how they still feel. In a neighborhood that is in the suburbs of the ever-so-liberal city of Seattle, our quiet, middle-class haven has seen an increasing amount of thefts, crime and drug use. Some of these people are potentially violent. I, for one, would rest easy at night knowing our schools are more secure. Teenagers are apt to call school a “prison”, anyway, so, really, what is another fence?

We couldn’t possibly, though, expect a smug, little f-bomb dropping, floating turd like David Hogg to understand this. He’s too busy practicing his talking points for his first semester at Harvard and talking about how us “old-ass” gun owners who barely know how to use a cell phone can drop our guns and fire them off on accident and kill people and how the NRA doesn’t protect us when we make stupid mistakes with our weapons. He does all of this and more while he cashes in on the demise of some of his classmates-again and again and again and again. All Pigs go to Heaven. But apparently, Hoggs go to Harvard.

    Methinks he IS a rock.

Yes, and the excess is all on the prog side.

    Remind me
How many AR-15s did Jesus own?

Remind me, how much money did Jesus take from others to give to the poor?
(Oh, and at least one of the disciples owned and carried a sword.)

    the prison military industrial complex
Ooooh, bold. It’s now not just the military-industrial complex, but the PRISON-military-industrial complex. Because all those prisoners end up in the military? Or because they end up making war stuff for the military machine, like pens and notebooks?

    beyond me
Because you’re obviously not smart enough to get into Hahvahd. I mean he laid it all out: armed guards, single door, metal detectors, barbed wire. How can you NOT see that as a military prison? (I’m shocked he didn’t throw school uniforms in there. He missed a golden opportunity to check all the boxes. Maybe they’ll mark him down a grade in his Leftist Twaddle 101 class for that.)
(I love the barbed wire bit of rhetoric. He’s obviously learning from top demagogues. Well, except for the missing-school-uniforms thing.)

“Camera” Hogg isn’t too young to shack up with Donkey-Chompers, is he? I mean, we’ve knocked down all those taboos, right? Because they’d make an intellectually formidable* team. Maybe we can get “Shoes” Davis to be their adopted Mom.

(* By “intellectually formidable”, I mean their combined intellect would produce a near perfect vacuum, sucking all the air out of the room, and thereby suffocating any more active brains within it.)

Look, we have our share of crackpots on the ‘right’. But you actually make these people your spokespeople and leaders. Mamas, don’t let your babies grow up to be progs.

”Donkey-Chompers”? Well they’re both operating cognitively at the level of spoiled 14 year olds – on a good day – if it is Occasional Cortex to whom you refer as Donkey-Chompers.

The parents of this little ass need to be beaten for raising such a piece of shit drama queen little bitch!

He must not have heard the saying, “better to keep your mouth shut and look the fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.”

    David who, and who cares?

  • Warren says:

Hogg isn’t the problem, he’s a symptom if not the effect of the “Progressive” disease. In a sane society he would be relegated to marching around in sackcloth and ashes and carrying a sign that read “Repent! The end is nigh.” Or standing on a crate in the public square preaching his hysterical dogma until he was carted off for creating a public nuisance.
He’s an attention whore of the worse sort with the willing and knowing cooperation of the MSM.

That kid has more than a passing resemblance to Goebbels.

Let’s all keep an eye on Mr. Hogg as he tries his dialectic skills at Harvard. They may be all leftie all day long, but I’m thinking his GPA may take a hit in Big Boy School, as he’s the only one who believes he’s a genius with insights worth listening to.
