The Mueller appearance before Congress turned out to be an Epic Fail for Democrats. So now that they’ve seen their impeachment plans go up in smoke, what’s next? Perhaps Democrats should turn their attention to the cities they run, where thugs douse cops with water, and teenagers assault disabled kids.
Take, for example, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s New York City, where neighborhood punks doused members of the NYPD with water while on the beat. You probably saw the videos, or maybe not, since the media wanted us all to know how Mueller was about to take Trump down.
But while Mueller was stumbling over his words in Washington, DC, one of the perps turned himself in. Police arrested another man, and are still looking for three others.
As for Courtney Thompson, the man who turned himself in, this was not his first time at bat regarding run-ins with the police. He’s a member of a Crips group, the “Fresh Gangstas,” and he’s currently on probation for a 2015 robbery. On top of that, he also has 20 prior arrests.
But a community activist, Jerome Bolden, said that Thompson was just “having a little fun.” Besides that, he said Thompson was a “mentor” to younger neighborhood residents.

Bolden gave excuses for Courtney Thompson:
“He started getting scared there was so much media attention. There was even a wanted poster about him. He didn’t think it would be that big but that’s why he turned himself in.”
And Thompson doused the police because, because . . . it was such a hot day! Yeah, that’s the ticket!
“It was super hot that day and people were just wetting each other. There was no violence. It wasn’t directed towards the police.”
Right. And bears don’t. . . well, you know.
Then there’s the attorney who said that Thompson “respects law and order,” and that he’s gone to school to become a dog behavior expert or something.

But cops in other cities are dealing with water attacks, too. The Sergeants Benevolent Association of the NYPD posted this on its Twitter page. I don’t know where this happened — I don’t think it’s in New York — but it shows yet more disrespect for the police.

There’s also this week’s incident in Chicago where a 15-year-old disabled girl went missing for five days. What happened to her during that interim was horrid; moreover, she may have been a victim of sexual assault. As a member of the Chicago Police Department said:
“The victim was discovered to be a victim of some sick and disgusting crimes. Due to the unique circumstances and the sensitive nature of these crimes involved, the interview process and the task of verifying the facts of this case is going to take some time. Remember, we are talking about a span of several days.”
But this girl’s story gets even worse. During the time she went missing, a gang of teenage girls beat her up. Naturally, someone had a phone and recorded it all, complete with laughter while the victim screamed and reacted like a small child.

Anthony Guglielmi, Communications Officer for the Chicago Police, commented that “This is beyond disturbing to watch, and this young girl deserves far better.”
However, on Thursday morning, CPD announced the arrest of three teenage girls in this assault. Get this — these girls were 13, 14, and 15 years old.
Now who’s running the cities of Chicago and New York? Well, surprise, surprise — Democrats run them both.
In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio thinks he can become President of the United States, though it appears he can’t even control his own city.
Former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani, responding to the police dousing, wrote about De Blasio’s failure as mayor:
“This disrespect for the uniform in NYC is result of a Democrat-Progressive (Retrogressive)-Socialist Mayor. This is what happens with knee-jerk disrespect for police. It will only get worse until these Left wing idiots are defeated.”
And then there’s Chicago, the poster child for urban devastation. From its rampant crime and gang wars to its bottom-of-the-barrel financial status, Chicago’s Democrat political machine has destroyed the once-magnificent Windy City.
The Mueller Show is now over. Democrats can no longer seriously entertain their fantasy of a Trump impeachment, and it’s time they focus on fixing their cities. Sadly, I’m not holding my breath.

George V says: I read recently that many of the wealthier citizens of the blue bastions of NY, NJ, and New England are headed to Florida now that the tax changes have limited deductions for state and local taxes for high income people. Will Florida turn Democrat Socialist in 8 or 10 years, and start a slide into third-worldliness? This will be a good test case.
370H55V says: State income tax in Florida is constitutionally prohibited, so it would take a vote to overturn that. However, the answer to your question is coming soon than that. Last fall we dodged a bullet by electing Gov. Ron DeSantis over black radical Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum by all of 33,000 votes out of about 8 million cast. That is too close for comfort and doesn’t guarantee continuity next time around.
SDN says: Sign up NOW to be a poll watcher. Check NOW to make sure that votes cannot be counted unless a verified representative from BOTH parties is present. File the cases NOW to force your state to enforce the voter roll purge requirements of the “Motor Voter” law; otherwise, the cases won’t be able to make it to SCOTUS before election day. Judicial Watch is doing particularly good work in this regard.

See? Shaming does work. (And I wonder if there wasn’t a call from the probation officer, too. Or maybe his mama.)
I have to wonder if the dousing thing isn’t a way of assaulting officers without it being assault-assault? (I know, legally “battery”, but everyone uses the word “assault”.) So, when they get arrested they can say “What? It’s just water! It couldn’t hurt them!” (It’s what the progs are doing with milkshakes.) Then they’ll repeat the “It’s just water! They’re overreacting.” bit for the jury if things get that far.
I say to the pols from these places – almost all of whom are progressives – Go Back To Where You Came From, fix those places, then come back and we’ll see if your methods are worth giving an airing on the national stage.
Many of them – like Omar – started out as state pols. Some even started out as locals (DeBlasio – still is, thank goodness) in these very failed cities. But, somehow, their policies of failure don’t keep them from being promoted.

Yup, make an arrest. And if the perp resists arrest, as he surely will, and you have to wrestle and fight the perp to complete the arrest, as you surely will, be prepared to be called a racist.

I’m glad that my grandparents and many of my older aunts and uncles are no longer around to see this. They wouldn’t recognize this country.
Nocturnal says: And then, of course, there’s Baltimore, where their, like, incoming deputy commissioner or some such, recently got robbed at gunpoint. The place is already a post-apocalyptic movie set, now all it needs is a production. Last Republican mayor, 1967, I think.
