Amidst all the news regarding Trump’s visit to the border and Jim Acosta’s idiotic WHOPPER wall fail, the news broke that Michael Cohen will testify to the House Oversight Committee on February 7th. Needless to say, the rest of the media who wasn’t all over the border stories, were rubbing their hands in glee. Whatever will he say? Will Michael Cohen finally throw Trump under the bus?
President Trump’s former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen has agreed to testify in a public hearing next month before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, panel Democrats announced Thursday.
Cohen agreed to the Feb. 7 appearance voluntarily, committee chairman Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.) said in a statement.
“I want to make clear that we have no interest in inappropriately interfering with any ongoing criminal investigations, and to that end, we are in the process of consulting with special counsel Mueller’s office,” Cummings said, promising that the panel would announce more information about the hearing in the coming weeks.
They have ZERO interest in interfering with the Mueller investigation? Yeah right. Sell me some more palm trees on the moon guys.

This smacks to me like they want to push the Mueller investigation in the direction they want it to go. Especially in light of the fact that so far, the Mueller probe is turning up all sorts of stuff yet none of it has anything to do with Trump and Russia.
Thus the burning question:
Keep in mind that Cohen is not a nice guy. However, did he help Trump collude with Russia? There are truly no definitive answers regarding that.
Right now, the only things that Cohen is guilty of are the following:
Bank fraud
Campaign finance violations
Lying to Congress
Given that Cohen, during his sentencing hearing on December 12th, placed all the blame for the above misdeeds on Trump, it’s no wonder that everyone is hoping that THIS will be the time that Trump will be exposed for the Russia hack he is.
I can just picture it now. The hearing commences amidst the glare of camera lights. The Democrats on the committee with Elijah Cummings (Didiot – MA) in the lead will be just waiting to pounce!
And the questions they will ask will be variations on the following themes.
See where I’m going with this? Do I think that Michael Cohen is on the up and up? Nope. I think he’s a sleezeball of an attorney who is nearly on the slime level as Michael “Stripper Matlock” Avenatti. And that’s saying something.
However, will the Cohen testimony really set the earth on fire? Even Shifty Adam Schiff doesn’t think so and in fact wants Cohen to testify behind closed doors.
Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said in a statement Thursday that he welcomed Cohen’s upcoming testimony, but that Cohen would need to speak to lawmakers in a private setting as well.
“Mr. Cohen has expressed an interest in telling his personal story in open session, and we welcome his testimony,” he said.
“It will be necessary, however, for Mr. Cohen to answer questions pertaining to the Russia investigation,” he added, “and we hope to schedule a closed session before our committee in the near future.”
Given that statement, we should all be asking THIS question:
What is it that the committee wants to hear, but would rather hide from the American people?
Cohen’s public testimony on February 7th promises to be a popcorn worthy show…likely without the earth shattering KABOOM that the Democrats and media want.

Well, it’s more like “What is it that the committee wants to hear, but is afraid of what he might actually say, and the subsequent reaction of the American people?”
I’m going to guess there will be lots of hype, not a lot of fire for all the smoke, then the media will take two sentences (probably abridged, at that) and spend a week screaming that they PROVE Trump is Hitler!
