Kamala Harris was once considered the Democrats’ great hope to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, but as research shines an unforgiving spotlight on her statist record, Harris seems to be falling out of favor with the progressive left.
This is a good thing. Of all the nuts vying to challenge Trump for the White House next year, Harris was one of the most dangerous. She had the intersectional “woman of color” credentials the far left progressives worship along with the kind of willingness to do an end run around the Constitution to implement the big-government diktats they crave.
And then things happened.
In February, shortly after announcing her intent to seek the Democratic nomination for the White House, Harris garnered ridicule after her admission that she was a pot-smoking, Tupac and Snoop Dogg-listening “one of you plebes” during her years at Howard University. There is some debate about whether the DJ who asked her the question meant it as a general query about her music tastes or whether he meant to ask her about her stoner college years. Regardless, conservatives jumped on her claim as an indication that Kamala Harris is not to be trusted, because neither Tupac nor Snoop released an album during Kamala Harris’ college years.
Whether this was an actual gaffe on Harris’ part or an effort by conservatives to discredit her early on is irrelevant. When the media started researching her record and fact-checking her claims, Kamala Harris started falling apart.
She started her campaign with the false claim that “paychecks weren’t keeping up with the cost of living” – a claim contradicted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics data that showed inflation-adjusted weekly earnings had gone up since President Donald Trump took office.
Kamala Harris lied several times on the campaign trail when she claimed that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act only helped the “top one percent and the biggest corporations in this country.”
Facts contradict Kamala Harris’ claims, and even the leftist mainstream media called BS on that one. Americans for Tax Reform gathered some research on the media outlets who fact-checked Harris’ claims, and the list is exhaustive and quite impressive.
In its fact check, the Washington Post stated: “Most Americans received a tax cut.”
The New York Times also flatly stated: “Most people got a tax cut.”
CNN’s Jake Tapper did his own fact check and concluded: “The facts are, most Americans got a tax cut.”CNN’s Jake Tapper also stated: “In fact, estimates from both sides of the political spectrum show that the majority of people in the United States of America did receive a tax cut.”
FactCheck.org stated: “Most people got some kind of tax cut in 2018 as a result of the law.”
FactCheck.org also stated: “The vast majority (82 percent) of middle-income earners — those with income between about $49,000 and $86,000 — received a tax cut that averaged about $1,050.
The NYT also stated: “To a large degree, the gap between perception and reality on the tax cuts appears to flow from a sustained — and misleading — effort by liberal opponents of the law to brand it as a broad middle-class tax increase.”
When you’ve lost the Washington Post and New York Times…
That same month, CNN’s Jake Tapper took Kamala Harris to task on her opposition to legislation that would have required her office as California Attorney General to investigate fatal shootings involving police officers. Harris claimed she did not oppose the bill, but rather refrained from publicly weighing in on it as Attorney General.
FactCheck.org took Kamala Harris to task again on her lie, because even though she did not take an “official position” on the legislation introduced by Kevin McCarty in 2015, she made her opposition blatantly clear by opposing the removal of prosecutorial discretion from locally elected district attorneys.
Whether you agree with the legislation or not, it is abundantly clear that Kamala Harris lied about her support for it, claiming that the current process that tasked local law enforcement with investigating civilian deaths was sufficient.
The lies continued in March when Kamala Harris tweeted a misleading headline from the Associated Press that implied military pay and pensions would be curtailed to build Donald Trump’s long-promised wall.
Members of our military have already given so much. Raiding money from their pensions to fund the President’s wasteful vanity project is outrageous. Our servicemembers deserve better. https://t.co/xIzR0MyCii

One would expect someone who was a prosecutor and an attorney general, as well as a sitting US Senator to at least read the lead paragraph to ensure that the claim actually said what she wanted it to say. What the AP’s lead paragraph actually explained was that these were leftover funds, which means that our military members would not be affected in any way. But I suppose the desire to ingratiate herself with the derpiest of Trump haters overcame common sense, truth, and the knowledge that she would be slammed in fact checks nationwide.
Speaking of total devastation, both Kamala Harris and Lizzie Warren stepped on their own cranks when they claimed a few months ago that Michael Brown was murdered by police officer Darren Wilson. Both the Washington Post and FactCheck.org slammed the two candidates’ claims as egregious lies. Fact is, a grand jury decided not to indict Wilson, and Barack Obama’s Justice Department found that Wilson most likely had reason to fear for his life. Two lawyers like Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren would surely understand the distinction, right?
Fact is Kamala Harris has always been an authoritarian, and he began to realize just how unappealing her record is to Americans, so she began to spin and spin some more. When she was called out a few days ago after she lauded an audience member at one of her events for calling President Trump “mentally retarded,” she claimed she simply didn’t hear the comment. Sure, she didn’t.
Audience member: “What are you going to do in the next one year to diminish the mentally retarded actions of this guy?”
Harris: “Well said.” (Giggles.) “Well said. Well, I plan to win this election, I’ll tell you that.”
And then there’s the latest absolute lie Kamala Harris spewed a few days ago, claiming she sued Exxon Mobil as California Attorney General. She did not, says PolitiFact, giving her a generous fully “FALSE” (rather than a well-deserved “pants on fire”) rating on that claim.
“The facts are Harris opened an investigation against Exxon for lying about climate change. She didn’t take that further even though she should have and other attorney generals did,” said Kassie Siegel, climate director at the Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund. “She did bring some cases against oil companies. I’m not aware of a case that she actually brought against Exxon. And she didn’t bring the case against Exxon for lying about climate change.”
Ooops! Maybe all that pot she smoked in college made her forget. Or maybe, Kamala Harris is a filthy, opportunistic, pandering, authoritarian fraud who should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.
“Ooops! Maybe all that pot she smoked in college made her forget. Or maybe, Kamala Harris is a filthy, opportunistic, pandering, authoritarian fraud who should not be allowed anywhere near the White House.” I’ll take option #2 Marta..
Two lawyers like Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren would surely understand the distinction libel, right?
Fixed.
You did leave out one lie: that’s she’s an African-American.
While I don’t really care about it, Alinsky’s rules apply to Democrats, and the people who care about that stuff should certainly not let her get away with that claim.
A seemingly Well educated Senator, like Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren, should not make Statements about their ethnicity, that are clearly Provable, to be lies, nor should they go on the Record making Statements, that multiple Fact Checking organisations clearly agree, are False. These deliberate Mis-Statements, or Lies, call into question, whether either of these Candidates are fit to serve as President of The
United States !
This is a woman who literally rode into a political career on Willie Brown’s penis. It’s rather disillusioning that she got as far as she did, but at least (like Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I), she’ll never be President.
