#Inauguration: Dear Liberals…Here’s What You Missed While You Were Protesting

Dear Liberals:

While you were posting photos of Barack and Michelle with broken heart emojis, thinking of derogatory remarks towards our (like it or not) 45th President of The United States for your protest sign, wearing black or changing your profile photo to black on social media, cheering on a kid whose nitwit parents condoned the fire he set and the foul language that flowed from his lips and going into a tizzy about there being a full-on nuclear holocaust, we watched.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYZvB6TM7dw

You threw around ugliness on social media saying hateful things about Baron Trump (a child!), you said ugly things to people who did not deserve to hear them just because they didn’t vote “your” way, you posted somber photos of your mourning of the end of an era, your special interest groups blocked our military from passing through checkpoints in Washington D.C., you posted celebrity temper tantrums on your wall and compared and contrasted this inauguration versus Beyonce’s 2013 lip sync and all of the other (rich) A-listers who showed up for Barack and Michelle. All the while, we listened.

I mean yes, we actually DID watch and we DID listen to the Inauguration. And we’re here to inform you of the highlights because you were too wrapped around the axle to take the time and initiative to watch and listen. Maybe you were too busy watching the re-caps from Chris Matthews drawing anti-Semitic parallels to Trump’s “America First” Inauguration speech and that’s okay. It is indeed a free country and Mr. Matthews (I take it he didn’t have a “thrill up his leg” this time) has every right as an American to draw those conclusions just as you as human beings have the right to be hurt, scared, angry, nervous and, yes, even downright hateful.

The 2017 Inauguration was indeed a peaceful transition of power. There were no threats to take away rights from the LGBTQ community. Nor did Mr. Trump talk about this “wall” or deporting Americans from other nations who have come over here for a better life and have worked hard at it. There were no “white power” chants and strangely enough, President (yes, I said PRESIDENT) Trump looked a bit nervous for once and refrained mostly from referring to himself for a good part of his speech. For those of you who flat-out refused to listen, this is what we heard:

“The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes — starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.”-Donald J. Trump

…This:

“But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.”-Donald J. Trump

And this:

“We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.”-Donald J. Trump

You heard the Inauguration speech as “dark”. Trump’s reference to “American carnage” was “morbid”, you said. You have been so sucker-punched by a bunch of highly-educated mental gymnasts into a state of oblivion that you fail to notice that President Trump is right. Take a look around and I mean a GOOD, HARD LOOK not just from your window from your flat in SoHo. The “American Carnage” is more than just poverty, crime and drugs but it is the very moral decay and a lack of pride that leads to all of these atrocities. While the peaceful transition of power has occurred, Trump has admitted his flaws, YOU still want the carnage, YOU still want to fight. YOU want the toxicity. YOU still want to continue believing the lies you have been told for years. That America is bad. That a sense of national pride is bad. That prosperity and the American dream is materialistic and you do not need it or want it. You are feeling defeated not because of the man who stepped into office today but because of the very ideologies and the gradual withering of our spirit as Americans over the years by those who celebrated their victories at your expense. Their victories have not been yours and your misery now is a direct result of this.

So go ahead into that dark place, Liberals. Be all doom and gloom and protest away. As Americans, you have that right. Your friends who may feel differently at whom you spew your venom from behind your keyboard cannot make you be happy about what happened today. Nor can the new President or any of his cabinet. See how that works? No one is going to beat you into submission. You’ve been blessed with a thing called free-will. And as far as being a “shining example for everyone to follow”, keep on fighting the fight by name-calling, screaming, cursing, stomping on our flag, blowing stuff up, breaking windows, blocking roadways, setting things on fire and severing relationships with people who don’t think just like you because all of that is a shining example of humanity, don’t you think?

Liberals, nobody is imposing their way of life on you, you could choose darkness or to be a shining light; it’s a two-way street. It’s a choice and we know you guys are all big on that word, right? Those of us who do not agree should also recognize that you cannot impose your way of life on us. For us, we say no more carnage, we want to embrace victory. And we believe victory is what shines bright as a beacon for all.

You heard exactly what I heard. 64 million more of us heard exactly that, also. And we mean it.

President Trump spoke “truth to power,” to use that hoary leftist phrase, and the truth was dark to The Powers That Were, to paraphrase David Halberstam’s book title. I heard George Will and Charles Krauthammer get their panties tied in knots on FNC last night, which is why I usually watch FBN, and I found myself thinking of Gerald Ford’s “our long national nightmare” speech instead.
I hope we take the old Democrat Party anthem “Happy Days Are Here Again” for our soundtrack PDQ….and I will rejoice with every sip of liberal tears I drink. MAGA!!!

Thank you! Thank you for putting into words with such clarity what I am too angry, disgusted and frustrated to express in my own voice. It’s been hard to watch as people do and say the exact things they profess to be against, refusing to see the lack of reason in their actions.

Just trying to keep the faith that this too shall pass.
