Hasan Piker “Lowers” The Temperature By Mocking Charlie Kirk

Two weeks after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Hasan Piker told Politico that the temperature needed to be lowered. Yet, in that same interview, he also broadcast the claim that Charlie’s rhetoric was violent.

I know this from my own personal experiences as well. I know that if I were to be assassinated in a similar fashion, the right would erupt in joy, probably even more loudly than what some liberals may be experiencing. I think that’s just how it is now. We are very polarized, and in some ways that polarization is understandable.

In many other ways, I think the rhetoric that came from Charlie was understandably seen by many people as also being inherently violent. A couple that quickly come to my mind is, even in the aftermath of school shootings and gun violence that takes place in the United States of America, far too commonly, far too frequently, Charlie Kirk has said certain things that I think a lot of people have been frustrated by — saying empathy is a weakness and that we shouldn’t actually be guided by empathy in the aftermath of these horrifying mass shootings. Or things like gun violence is an unfortunate byproduct of having the freedoms of the Second Amendment. I think when people see that, they fight fire with fire, if you will. In their minds, they think it’s fine.

A big part of that is we have also become desensitized, utterly desensitized, to violence in general — both as a byproduct of our foreign policy around the globe, but also because of how violent America has become. I mean, this was the 46th school shooting that took place this year, the shooting of Charlie Kirk. And while it was happening, in Colorado, there was another school shooting that took place an hour after Charlie Kirk was shot. That’s not normal. After a certain point, people only see so much of this until they go, “I don’t really care about this.” And I think that’s where we’re at. Obviously, I try to maintain my humanity, and I try to urge others to do the same. But I do understand, even if I myself don’t partake in it, where this resentment comes from.

So much for lowering the temperature. Since then, Piker has ramped up his rhetoric and actions. Which leads me to what happened this week.

Very much so. Piker and his pals aren’t lowering the temperature here. Nope, they are throwing fuel on the fire while he cosplays as Chairman Mao.

This comes from a guy who proclaims he is a Socialist, yet makes a crap ton of money off of his capitalistic endeavors.

The bigger issue is this. He is mocking an assassination. He is normalizing violence and then pretends to be shocked when real genuine violence takes place leaving people injured or dead.

What Piker and his band of lemmings refuse to recognize is that NO ONE on the conservative side of the aisle would cheer his death. Not one of us would became fans of assassins like Tyler Robinson or Luigi Mangione, but that’s what Hasan has done. We are the compassionate ones, and people like Hasan Piker are unable to deal with that.

Which is understandable given his support of those who were involved in the October 7 attacks. Furthermore, he declared with a straight face that Hamas is actually a very moderate organization.

Piker was known for years as a popular Twitch streamer before emerging this year as an increasingly influential political voice in certain Democratic circles that are seeking to push the party to the left. His growing presence in the Democratic Party has been controversial among more centrist figures, due to concerns that he is antisemitic, including repeated denials or downplaying of sweeping sexual violence against Jews in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack, saying he “would vote for Hamas over Israel every single time,” and calling Hamas “a thousand times better” than Israel.

“I think Hamas’s current position, as far as I understand it, is far more moderate than its position was at its inception,” Piker said. “They’ve recognized that it’s virtually impossible to advance this vengeance quest against Israel.”

Yes, I laughed. This is Hasan Piker. One who calls for lowering the temperature but then parades around on stage mocking Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Piker has proclaimed that Republicans are terrorists, called for Rick Scott to be killed, and is demanding a front row seat to the revolution he is pushing for.

Hasan Piker and his ilk are pushing hate speech while working to censor anyone who pushes back at them. Piker has been happily campaigning with Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan while El-Sayed is “lowering” the temperature by telling his audience he wants to “choke” Republicans and labeled moderate Democrats as ogres who need their heads chopped off and put on pikes.

Which has some Democrats declaring they don’t want Piker anywhere near them.

That might be a case of too little, too late Jared.

Jonathan Turley put it best in his newest column

The American left has found their berserkers, the old Norse warriors who were known to fight in a virtual violent trance. The new berserkers offer the chance to hate completely and without remorse or reflection. Over time, supporters are conditioned to disregard even the murder of those with opposing views. As shown in San Francisco, assassination becomes nothing more than a sing-a-long in an age of rage.

Piker is toxic and should be called out for his rhetoric. His idea of lowering the temperature is to increase the rage and hate from his followers, and using Charlie Kirk’s assassination to do so.
