John Cleese, of Monty Python fame, is calling it like it is. Islam is antithetical to British culture. And the apologist scolds just can’t handle his honesty. Especially an organization called 5Pillars, who sent out warning notices of Cleese’s Monty Python tour.

The prominent Islamophobe John Cleese is to tour the UK in September and will visit cities with large Muslim populations such as Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford and Leeds.

One of Britain’s best-known comedians and actors, Cleese, 86, has been involved in a sustained campaign of Islamophobia and misinformation about Muslims on his social media.

He is due to appear at 18 venues across England during September as part of his John Cleese and The Holy Grail tour, which features a screening of the classic Monty Python film followed by a live conversation and audience Q&A with the comedian.

For several months, Cleese has posted hostile comments about Islam and Muslims on his X account, which has five million followers.

Among the most inflammatory was a post in March in which Cleese claimed that the Qur’an’s teaching was “ALL about acquiring power, killing ‘infidels’ and imposing Islam on everyone.”

He contrasted the Qur’an with the teachings of Jesus and went on to claim that Britain’s Christian tradition was consequently “vastly superior” and more respectful of human dignity.

5Pillars is a prominent, and yes virulent pro-Muslim organization in the UK. And they made it clear they want protests and, if possible, his tour shut down. Well, Cleese wasn’t backing down.

For years now, Cleese has been making pointed jabs at progressives, woke scolds, the damage that political correctness brings, and the dangers of pandering to Muslims who refuse to assimilate and instead demand British culture bows to them. He’s gone on record many times blasting radical Islam.

He’s not wrong in calling out the Muslim religion of Islam. That religion does teach hatred of anyone not Islamic, forces women to be subjects of men, forces young girls into marriage, believes rape is fine, and advocates for killing anyone who is not a follower of Islam.

Britain has caved to all of this over the years. So much so that people with their shorts in a knot about Cleese, including the fine Islamic folks at 5Pillars, have referred him to a program called Prevent.

Prevent operates in what the British government calls the “non-criminal space,” with referrals assessed to determine whether someone may need intervention.

Cases can be closed without further action, while those deemed appropriate can be referred to Channel, a voluntary intervention program for people considered vulnerable to radicalization.

There is no public evidence that Cleese has been placed in Channel or subjected to a criminal investigation. But the extraordinary complaint nevertheless put one of Britain’s most famous comedians into a government system created to head off radicalization.

Read that again. The Prevent program just screams Orwell doesn’t it?

Evidently speaking out against rape, female genital mutilation, and radical Islam as a whole means John Cleese is in danger of becoming a radical himself. Keep in mind, what they are really saying is that Islam is fine and anyone who speaks out against Islam is the dangerous radical who must be taken off the streets and airwaves.

The Prevent and Channel programs are essentially in place to deprogram someone who dares to go against the favored political narratives.

You see, he’s the one guilty of saying “hurty words.”

That’s where we are. In Britain, no one is allowed to say truthful things about Islam and voice concerns about how pandering to that is changing England, and not for the better.

Ward Clark at RedState nails it. We are in a clash of civilization vs barbarity.

Needless to say, John Cleese isn’t cowering in a corner. No, he’s essentially, to channel Monty Python and The Holy Grail, farting in the general direction of the butthurt woke scolds.

The Islamic male ego becomes so bloated by its lack of restraint that it believes any criticism is blasphemy

Let’s take a look at some of Cleese’s statements that are full of hurty words.

“To criticize a culture whose holy book advocates the killing of all the people they disagree with … is not racist. It’s culturalist.”
“Traditional British values are under attack from Muslim belief systems, especially the Koranic demands to kill ‘infidels.'”
“I personally prefer a culture that does not approve of female genital mutilation, child marriage, and killing infidels.”

There’s not one thing factually wrong with anything Cleese said. He essentially held up a mirror to what Islam is. And in today’s Britain, that must not be allowed. It’s wrong speak.

I know he and the rest of the Monty Python crew had no idea how prescient this from The Life of Brian would be all these years later.

John Cleese isn’t backing down. Neither should we.
