Just remember, the Democrats have gone all in on Graham Platner. Every time he opens his mouth, or an old interview or podcast pops up, just remember that THIS is the guy that the Democrats decided to back.
Recently, the opposition research on Graham Platner has kicked over quite a few rocks, and nothing good has slithered up. He has some deeply inappropriate fetishes, continues to objectify (presumably) women, and comes across as someone both privileged and deeply arrogant. Also, he’s apparently never learned the fine art of keeping your mouth shut. It would be one thing if he was some twenty year old dumbass just saying whatever popped into his brain, but Graham Platner is 41 years old who just got his Nazi tattoo covered up in the last several months. He’s a grown adult with zero excuses.
And more things just keep coming from that treasure trove of Reddit, where Graham Platner felt free and easy to say whatever he wanted, not realizing that even when you delete things, the internet is forever.
In his since-deleted Reddit account, Platner wrote in 2019, “This video never gets old,” referring to viral footage taken by PFC Ted Daniels’s helmet cam during a clash with Taliban fighters in 2012.
“Dumb motherf***er didn’t deserve to live. At least his stupidity and fat a** wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt. Poor marksmanship on the Taliban’s part is the only reason this mouthbreather made it home, he managed to make every possible s*** decision possible when it comes to small unit combat,” Platner wrote.
Daniels told The Washington Post in 2012 that he was hoping to draw fire away from his fellow squad members when he moved down a rocky hillside in the open before taking partial cover as bullets whizzed nearby. All his squadmates survived the engagement.
Daniels told the New York Post in an article published on Sunday regarding Graham’s 2019 comments, “I’m very thick-skinned, and he said it… I don’t want an apology, and any apology from him [Graham] at this point would definitely not be sincere.”

Platner was at least 33 years old when he made those comments. Again, remember, this is the horse that the Democrats have backed. But while he wears his own service like a forcefield rendering himself invincible, the service of others is apparently always up for gross commentary in Graham Platner’s world.
Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner (D.) suggested that legendary “American Sniper” Chris Kyle shot innocent civilians in Iraq in order to inflate his kill numbers. Platner also bristled at the idea of the former Navy SEAL and his platoon being dubbed “heroes.”
Platner, running for Senate against Sen. Susan Collins (R.), lashed out at Kyle and members of the SEAL’s “Task Unit Bruiser” in a May 2024 podcast interview on Green Beret Chronicle Show in which Platner, a former Marine, discussed his deployment in 2006 to Ramadi, a hotbed of insurgent activity during the Iraq war. In the interview, Platner—who did not belong to an elite Special Forces unit like the SEALs—took issue with public portrayals of Task Unit Bruiser and Kyle as heroes of the Iraq war.
“[Kyle’s] stories about how many people he was shooting certainly tracked with the behavior I witnessed [in Ramadi],” said Platner. “It’s relatively easy to get high numbers like that if you’re a little less discriminating in your fire than, say, a more professional unit would be.”
Platner claimed members of Task Unit Bruiser, led by then Navy SEAL commander Jocko Willink, shot unarmed civilians from their position at the Government Center in Ramadi, where American forces were stationed throughout 2006.
“I almost felt like there was like a weird practical joke being played on me by the war that, like all these years later, I’m like, having to like… People are telling me like ‘Oh, look how great this guy is, these guys are amazing heroes,’ this whole incredible thing,” said Platner. “The paragon of leadership, and I’m just sitting there like, ‘Am I living in like an alternate reality?’ Because this is the exact opposite of my experience.”
Graham Platner gave this interview just two years ago, so we can assume that his perspectives have not changed just because he is running for elected office. It’s also especially scummy to accuse Chris Kyle of killing civilians, since the man has been dead for over thirteen years and cannot defend himself against Platner’s slander. Fortunately, Taya Kyle was having none of it.
“American Sniper” widow Taya Kyle shredded Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner’s “cowardly” comments, calling out the progressive Democrat for alleging her late husband inflated his kill numbers by shooting innocent civilians.
“Nothing says, I want attention more than disparaging a national hero who’s also dead…” Kyle responded on “The Sunday Briefing.”
“It is cowardly, it’s lowbrow to lie about somebody else, and it distracts from what you’ve probably said…”
Kyle accused Platner, a controversial challenger of incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins, of employing a “cheap political trick” to attach his name to someone who is “beloved.”
“That’s working for him to get that notoriety, but to me, it shows a total inability to lead with character. For me he would be out of the running immediately,” she added.
When Chris Kyle was murdered in 2013, he left behind two young children. Time, however, did not stand still, and those children are now grown. They can easily see and hear every single thing said about their late father.
Platner’s comments have hurt the Kyle family, Taya said. “My kids are 21 and 20 — they’re grown adults, and I wish I could tell you that it doesn’t hurt, but it does.”
Taya added that it’s “obvious” to her family that Platner did not know her late husband, yet still made his disparaging remarks. “I can’t imagine anyone voting for someone like that,” she said.
And yet, Democrats are proudly sitting in the audience, watching Platner open his big mouth, or reading his deleted Reddit posts, and shrieking “THAT’S OUR HITLER!” Bernie Sanders is busy propping the guy up, and Graham Platner rewards Bernie by… botching his name twice.
Graham Platner gushes over Socialist Bernie Sanders:

Graham Platner looks to be an experiment for the Democrats – how far can we go to plant a radical candidate, back the candidate no matter what he says, and still see him win a primary and be competitive in a general election? Because Platner was most definitely a choice for the Democrats.
This is a really valuable read to understand how Graham Platner rose – it wasn't some organic populist surge.
It was a well-funded op – including glowing NYT and GQ profiles BEFORE he even announced, promoting a very specific curated message intended to get libs online buzzing. https://t.co/4zR0Kf9gzU

So the Democrats either didn’t know about the massive amounts of opposition research on Platner, or they didn’t care. Pick one. Either way, other Democrats are finding Platner disqualifying and would rather not be associated with him. We shall see if other Democrats begin to treat Platner like something they found on the bottom of their shoe, no matter how the party leadership tries to hype this scumbag.
