German Chancellor Updated On Ukraine By Biden

Installing a dementia-addled, idiot (Joe Biden) as President is destroying not only our country, but our standing in the world and the sovereignty of other countries. A couple of days ago, Deanna told you how Biden is pushing Ukraine to cede control of part of her country to Putin to avert war. Today, Joe Biden gave the new German Chancellor Olaf Scholz a call to apprise him of the current state of affairs regarding Ukraine. Their is no readout on whether the German Chancellor horse-laughed.

Joe Biden has screwed up everything he has touched. That’s a true fact. Today he called the very new German Chancellor to give Olaf Scholz the 411 on Ukraine. According to the New York Post, Biden called Scholz to let him know the efforts to diffuse the tensions in the region:

President Biden on Friday called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who took office Wednesday, to congratulate him on his new job and bring him up to speed on his efforts to diffuse Russia-Ukraine tensions.

Biden spoke this week with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky amid fears that a Russian troop buildup near Ukraine portends an invasion — as White House aides claim that the nearly operational Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline between Russia and Germany could be shut down if Russia invades its neighbor.

Scholz, a social democrat leading a three-party coalition, replaced 16-year conservative chancellor Angela Merkel.

“The leaders discussed our work together on the full range of global challenges, including continued efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic, counter the threat of climate change, and address Russia’s escalation of forces surrounding Ukraine,” the White House said.

Angela Merkel wasn’t disposed to help Biden, and Olaf Scholz has no good reason to help Biden either. The German people need the oil for Nord Stream 2 to help that their people don’t freeze this winter. Russia and Germany both have reason to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO. Russia wants Ukraine back in the Soviet Union. Germany wants and needs oil so her people don’t freeze this winter. Additionally, if the German people get Russian oil, they won’t have to pay Ukraine a surcharge. Joe Biden and his band of incompetent, but well educated, morons, don’t see this big picture.

Even the star witness from the Ukraine impeachment, Alexander Vindman sees the comparison between now and 2014, when Putin took Crimea. He wrote in the New York Times yesterday:

It feels ominously like 2014 again.

Back then, Russian troops and tanks rolled into eastern Ukraine while the West, in shock, looked on. This year, Russia has once again raised the tenor of anti-Ukraine propaganda and assembled an estimated 175,000 military personnel along Ukraine’s border, plus tanks, artillery and equipment. All of this has raised alarms that Russia is preparing to launch the largest military offensive in Europe since World War II.

The story is that Russia has 100,000 troops on the border with Ukraine and no real way to fight back:

Russian can mobilize hundreds of modern warplanes for an attack on Ukraine. The Ukrainian air arm by contrast might struggle to deploy more than a few dozen geriatric fighters and attack planes.

The Ukrainian government is aware of the problem. “In the event of the most dangerous scenario of unleashing open armed aggression against Ukraine, the Russian Federation is able to set up air task forces of up to 500 aircraft,” the government explained in Air Force Vision 2035, a 2020 planning document.

The Russian force could include the latest Su-34, Su-35, MiG-35 and Su-57 fighters.

To counter this aerial armada, the Ukrainian can muster just 125 Su-24s, Su-25s, MiG-29s and Su-27s that Kiev inherited from the Soviet Union way back in 1991, when most of those aircraft already were a decade old. Ukraine hasn’t acquired a single new, manned fighter or attack plane in 30 years.

Biden can warn Russia all he wants. The problem is that the German Chancellor doesn’t want his people to freeze this winter. Putin doesn’t want Ukraine in NATO. Germany needs heating oil. She has absolutely no reason to care about the Ukraine.

Joe Biden’s handlers have no idea how to handle this. We don’t want our depleted military involved in Ukraine, but its going to happen. That is if someone doesn’t step in. There is no one out there. We are screwed.

Russia has troops inside their own borders. A fact never mentioned by those needing a new war. BTW you have a typo, in paragraph 7; both Russia and Germany… should read prevent “Ukraine ” from joining NATO. Germany’s already a member.

Biden did not tell Zelensky to cede territory. He likely told him to implement the Minsk accords, which grant home rule to the individual oblasts, including those in the Donbas. These accords were negotiated between Ukraine, France, Germany, UK, and Russia and are intended to end the civil war with Donbas remaining in Ukraine. If you are opposed to that, you are opposed to the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution.

Of course Bob omits to mention that the 10th Amendment became meaningless at Appomattox Court House in 1865, when the legal principle of invasion to remove home rule was established by the only rule that matters.

Speaking of “incompetent, but well educated, morons” the Germans wouldn’t need Nord stream II if they hadn’t decided to shut down their nuclear power plants and become militantly anti-nuclear.

The reports are that Biden is considering going beyond the Minsk accords to allow Russia some kind of formal “protectorate” over East Ukraine. After all Biden’s blather about supporting Ukrainian sovereignty that would further undercut the reputation of the United States as a reliable security partner. We can hope it’s not true.

It’s a gas pipeline, not oil.
