One may perceive that California’s governor, (and I use the term governor loosely), Gavin Newsom is quiet quitting his job.
HairGel does not have retirement on his brain in the least. In fact, this may indicate higher aspirations. A most recent report from The New York Post has Mr. Newsom escaping California for a $2 million-dollar book tour to promote his memoir, Young Man In A Hurry. You know the memoir…the one that humblebrags about how early generations of his (white) family arrived in the United States (on stolen land)? He talks about his father never “showing him love” and his mom telling him that it was “okay to be average”.
I wonder what she thinks if it’s okay to be subpar? Asking the question out loud.
Gavin also talks about his affair(s). Admittedly, he and Jennifer have been quiet over the past couple of days. Interesting. But, you go, Jen! SMASH that patriarchy!
It's been almost radio silence from Gavin & Jennifer Newsom since early Friday.
They only go silent when something's going on, like their jaunt to Mexico while people were dying in a blizzard in San Bernardino County, or when there's a scandal brewing . . . like in Oct/Nov 2021. pic.twitter.com/W4HWEZAlRX

The book promo tour took Newsom to high-end stays in Miami, New York City, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. And, let’s not forget, to Austin’s South By Southwest (SXSW) festival. His travels were not limited to U.S., however. Newsom also hopped on a private jet to Davos and to Munich, where he took aim at Trump. When he was done in Davos and Munich, he jetted off to London to sign a clean energy agreement.
Newsom has racked up close to $136,000 in travel-related expenses in 2026 through his PAC, Campaign for Democracy — plus another $58,000 on venue rentals and a whopping $1.6 million buying up copies of his own book, Young Man in a Hurry.”-Annie Gaus, The New York Post</blockquote>
And there you have it. THIS is how Gavin Newsom’s memoir became “the top 5 bestselling memoir of all time” on Amazon. But the $1.6 million “more than paid for itself“, apparently.
Just goes to show the Democrats will pay ridiculous amounts of money for a heaping pile of dung.

Newsom’s PAC recorded thousands in charges throughout March at choice hotels like the Intercontinental Boston, New York City’s Le Méridien and the Four Seasons hotels in Las Vegas and Palm Beach.”-Annie Gaus, The New York Post
Trust, HairGel is not squatting at Motel 6 on the taxpayers’ dime. More expenses:
Newsom also notched four separate charges of $657.61 at the Four Seasons Las Vegas, two bills amounting to $4,346 at Le Meridien Fifth Avenue and a $1350 charge at the Intercontinental Boston, according to Federal Election Commission records.
Newsom’s multi-leg book tour kicked off in Nashville in late February, where his PAC also spent roughly $5,300 on meals and lodging at the trendy AC Hotel and Hyatt near downtown. In Atlanta, Newsom’s PAC spent $16,500 renting the Georgia State University Rialto Center for a book talk with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens.”-Annie Gaus, The New York Post
Here’s the icing on cake-when Gavin Newsom’s office was asked about his travel, they said the travel “looks inflated” because “travel patterns picked up after the Covid pandemic”. Because, we ALL know, Gavin Newsom stayed home, stayed “safe” during pandemic. ALL of California was on lockdown. Don’t bring your kids to school and infect the teachers. Don’t go see Grandma, you’ll kill her.
It was just “a moment in time” (insert snicker here). Staying home “met the virus full force” or something. Except in wine country in November of 2020. No CORONAVIRUS at The French Laundry.
Yeah … @GavinNewsom has been ‘quiet quitting’ his job as @CAgovernor for some years now‼️ 🤨

Yes, in reality, Gavin Newsom has been phoning things in for Cali for quite some time now. But he isn’t “quiet quitting”. He’s hopeful and envious of Trump’s seat. Some say he’s better off outside of California. But, does this mean he will be inflicted upon the rest of us?
