New York Attorney General Attorney General Letitia James took another Victory Lap last night. She led the team that got a jury to convict former NRA Chief Wayne LaPierre and the NRA itself of corruption. As much as Letitia “Too male, too pale, too stale” James is a nasty piece of work, LaPierre and the NRA have had this coming for about two decades. This one is for my late Father and all the 2A supporters who left the organization because of the mismanagement.
It’s sweet justice seeing black women bringing down privileged white men who think they’re above the law!

One day, the nimrods like Barb are going to realize that Black women are not their Saviors, nor White men the villains. The nimrods need to look at their own bitter hearts.
James promised to go after the NRA when she ran for AG in 2018 as our Deanna wrote. And, as James promised in her tweet she has more heads to go after:
Strong gun laws in NY haven’t been enough to stop the gun violence that rips communities of color apart every day. Today, I’m announcing my plans as Attorney General to stop gun violence & take on the NRA, gun manufacturers, retailers & banks that fund these weapons of death pic.twitter.com/xQXPzbsg8m

While the Lefties squeal with joy, this is a win for folks like my Dad. Folks who saw what the NRA leadership was doing and no one would listen. From NPR:
The NRA, LaPierre and the two other defendants — former CFO Wilson Phillips and general counsel John Frazer — were caught “with their hands in the cookie jar,” New York Assistant Attorney General Monica Connell said in trial closing arguments on Thursday.
“They’re going to try to get you to think about anything except what happened to those cookies,” she said. “They’re going to blame anyone else but themselves.”
The ruling deals another blow to the gun rights group whose political influence has dwindled in recent years.
Their political influence has dwindled not because the Second Amendment is less important but because the NRA was corrupt and sclerotic. Losing influence and losing membership because of the grifters at the top. From the Washington Examiner:
Lawyers for James’s office spent weeks painting the NRA as a deeply flawed and mismanaged organization with little fealty to its mission of supporting gun rights. Instead, they argued the top brass at the nonprofit spent millions in member dues and donations on themselves.
“This case is about corruption: Misuse of funds spent on jets, black cars, five-star hotels, hundreds of thousands of dollars of suits, multi-million-dollar deals to insiders, payments to loyal board members and pervasive violations of internal controls,” Connell told a jury in a packed New York City courtroom.
Central to the state’s case against the NRA was the actions of its longtime leader LaPierre who spent NRA money like it was his personal piggy bank, flying on private jets, taking luxury vacations at 5-star resorts, and sunning on super-yachts.
LaPierre, who announced his resignation just days before the start of the trial, billed the NRA more than $11 million for those private jet rides and spent more than $500,000 on eight luxury trips to the Bahamas over a three-year span.
Prosecutors said he also authorized $135 million in NRA contracts to a vendor who paid for LaPierre to not only go to the Bahamas but also to India, Greece, and Dubai, and gave him access to a 108-foot yacht.
This trash drove many many of us out of the NRA with his sick policies like supporting the Veterans Disarmament Act and red flag laws. I burned my golden eagles lifetime membership that day. Glad to see his comeuppance. Chickens, meet roost.https://t.co/ulzKYJqC3C

Oliver North tried to warn the grifty grifters at the top of the NRA when he was President. He LOST their confidence. By the way, North is a currently inactive Marine, not retired Army:
Lt. Col. North testified for the State:
North, who was pulling in a $1 million a year salary at the NRA, said he was unceremoniously ousted after raising concerns about financial improprieties. He claimed he repeatedly pressed LaPierre about over spending issues but that the concerns fell on deaf ears. North likened the hostility he faced at the NRA to that of a “circular firing squad.”
Best known for his role in the Iran-Contra scandal in the 1980s, North resigned from the organization in 2019 following his bitter battle with LaPierre.
The NRA has been on notice for a long time. Plus, they caved on EVERY issue. Every time I see a gun-free zone sign, I curse the NRA. This was a prosecution whose time had long since come. Good riddance.

LaPierre deserves what he got because lone ago he could have moved the NRA out of New York where they would not have been subject to this lawfare but he didn’t. Also he was lavish with NRA funds. His arrogance has damaged the NRA.
Nimrods like Barb will learn that the blacks she is praising hate her as much as they hate other whites. But she thinks “I’m on your side” will save her.
Isn’t it interesting how it’s always a short-haired, middle aged woman, most often with a rainbow in the tag that makes stupid comments like this?
James is a bag of dogshit, there’s no question there, but for the damage he’s done to a cause he was supposed to be leading, LaPierre is as bad or worse. To build on what Toni said, Good Riddance to Bad Rubbbish…
“Strong gun laws in NY haven’t been enough to stop the gun violence that rips communities of color apart every day”
Maybe that’s because the problem is the communities, not the guns…
What a racist maroon…
Waiting for James to hammer a defendant “of color”….Won’t happen any time soon!
This is a win for the NRA, getting rid of corrupt management. Maybe with some decent leadership the NRA can get back on track and defend our Second Amendment rights.
While I agree that LaPierre was a problem for the NRA (as has been a bunch of its management), this prosecution was still questionable. James needs to be taken out and shoved under a rock somewhere. She is exactly the sort of privileged thug the Founders try to keep out. But the people don’t care about their republic any longer, so she goes on with her vindictive show trials.
