If the name “Miles Taylor” sounds familiar, you’ll remember the former DHS official who bragged (anonymously) in the NYTimes in 2018 as being part of The Resistance. Karma came for him last week in a feat of peak irony.
When Miles’ Trump-trashing editorial didn’t get quite the ongoing attention he sought (evidently feeling he was this generation’s Mark Felt), he outted himself in 2020.
Large, collective YAWN. So what’s a proud member of The Resistance™ to do? By golly, organize an anti-ICE rapid response network to stalk and interfere with Fed law enforcement. Woo-hoo! It’ll be a huge hit sure to bring fame and fortune to the self-identified security expert.
But Taylor is supposed to be a tech security expert, particularly on issues of national security. After all, his Wikipedia entry differentiates him from other Miles Taylors not by parenthetically referring to him as “Miles Taylor (self-important Op-Ed writer)” but “Miles Taylor (security expert).”
But on the way to gathering thousands of fellow resisters neo-Confederates across the country, Miles stumbled over his ego and landed face first into a huge puddle of karma.

BREAKING: Miles Taylor: “Anonymous,” former DHS Chief of Staff, Google security executive launched a website called GTFO ICE that collects your full name, email, phone number, and zip code to join an anti-ICE “rapid response network.” And publishes the user infromation via a public API. 🚨
17,662 people have signed up.
The sign-up data is exposed on a public REST API. No true authentication. No rate limiting. Full records: names, emails, phone numbers, zip codes, timestamps.
The man who ran the third-largest federal department (250,000 employees, $60 billion budget) who oversaw election security architecture and led counterterrorism operations, then served as Google’s Head of National Security Policy…
…can’t secure a sign-up form. But he does milk hundreds of thousands of NGO dollars on these credentials. While freeloading off his fame as the person who wrote the infamous NYT article “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration.”
And despite me pinging @MilesTaylorUSA about this 12 hours ago, the REST API is still wide open and exposed as of now. Everything has been turned over to FBI, HSI, ICE, and more agencies.
As always, patience as I pull together the thread.
And now all those lovely members of Miles’ GTFO ICE have been identified to law enforcement.
Let’s enjoy a moment of amazing schadenfreude. And we’re going to need to up our stock holdings in popcorn.
When even rumors of a member of the Trump administration may be staying in a hotel draws violent (and masked) neo-Confederates …
Portland (May 9) — @Tommy4Trump420 was assaulted at a protest outside the Sentinel Hotel where leftists allege that Kash Patel is staying. The conservative streamer has been repeatedly assaulted and has had his home and vehicles vandalized.pic.twitter.com/NDoMVHWAtV

… it is helpful when the Feds can match up the street thugs with a list of self-identified “resisters”. Good job, Miles!
