Our Twitter happy President is at it again. Early Saturday morning, President Trump tweeted about the fact the Representative Elijah Cummings is a bully who was ugly to our border agents. Along the way in the tweet, Trump mentioned conditions in Baltimore, Maryland, which is part of Cummings’s district. And, all Hell broke lose, including a Twitter hashtag: #WeAreBaltimore.

The original tweet was declaiming Elijah Cummings for his treatment of our hardworking Border Patrol Agents. Here is a video of Cummings bullying Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan:

Do you ever watch a video like this and think to yourself, “This is why I don’t ever want to serve in government. I could never sit there and let a bully thunder at me like that without going Johnny Paycheck on him and yelling “Take this job and shove it.””

President Trump was standing up for the hardworking people in government. The people who aren’t getting fat and living large. The people who truly believe in the oath they take:

I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

Our congresscritters may take the same oath, but they get paid a heck of a lot more money and get a heck of a lot more power.

Now, you may be an anti-Trump type. You may think our President is a bully. I think our President stands up to bullies like Elijah Cummings. Of course, The Washington Post, where “Democracy Dies in Darkness”, has it’s knickers in a twist over the Baltimore part, not the Border Patrol part. And, the Post saw racism, naturally:

Trump’s attack on Cummings is reminiscent of his recent racist attacks on four minority congresswomen who he said should “go back” to the “crime infested” places they were originally from and fix them before trying to improve America. All four women are U.S. citizens, and only one was born abroad.

Cummings responded to Trump’s tweets:

Mr. Cummings has been in Congress for 23 years. As the Post article notes, Baltimore is the third most dangerous city in the United States and even Senator Bernie Sanders called it a “third world country” in 2016.

What has Cummings done in his 23 years in Congress to help the border situation, to aid the employees to work so hard as the border? Nada! He, on the other hand, has, apparently, invested well during his time in Congress. In 2006, according to Open Secrets.com, Cummings’s net worth was $268,000. In 2015, according to the same source, Cummings’s net worth was $1.2 million. And, let us not even speak about the ethics complaints about his wife’s charities. You can read it here.

Our Congress is a disgusting “rat and rodent-infested mess”. They have done nothing for border protection. Period, paragraph, full stop. Like the four in the squad, Cummings ought to go back to where he came from and clean up his district.
