Well, this news is not only welcome, it’s about time! Seems that Planned Parenthood has landed themselves thoroughly in the governmental Hot Seat as the DOJ is now investigating them!

The Justice Department has launched a federal investigation into Planned Parenthood’s practices and the sale of fetal tissue.

In a letter first obtained by Fox News, Justice Department Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs Stephen Boyd formally requested unredacted documents from the Senate Judiciary Committee, the same panel that led the congressional probe into the women’s health organization.

“The Department of Justice appreciates the offer of assistance in obtaining these materials, and would like to request the Committee provide unredacted copies of records contained in the report, in order to further the Department’s ability to conduct a thorough and comprehensive assessment of that report based on the full range of information available,” Boyd wrote.

This is not only good .. but it’s about damn time!

How many times have we at Victory Girls written about the evil callousness that is Planned Parenthood led by Cecile Richards? Too many times to count. Yet, within the last two years the world finds out how evil Planned Parenthood really is due to the videos published by the Center for Medical Progress.

Well.. guess what? It isn’t. Period. Full Stop. Just to recap, below is one of the many videos capturing the evil and depravity that is Planned Parenthood.

Here’s the thing. For so long many thought an investigation of these heinous practices regarding the harvesting and sale of babies body parts would go nowhere. As stated above, we here have sounded the alarm when we could. Finally, people are listening. And in fact, the government is listening.

In the committee’s final report entitled “Human Fetal Tissue Research: Context and Controversy” published in December 2016, Grassley referred Planned Parenthood and other providers to the FBI for investigation.

Grassley said at the time that the committee has discovered enough evidence that shows how abortion providers had transferred fetal tissue and body parts from aborted fetuses for research by charging amounts higher than they actually cost.

“The report documents the failure of the Department of Justice, across multiple administrations, to enforce the law that bans the buying and selling of human fetal tissue,” Grassley wrote last December urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate. “It also documents substantial evidence suggesting that the specific entities involved in the recent controversy, and/or individuals employed by those entities, may have violated that law.”

This is an interesting and welcome turn of events. The news of this investigation is ALSO very interesting as it comes along after David Daleiden and Center for Medical Progress dealt with lawsuits, jail, and activist judges.

And well, since Planned Parenthood is a business that has proclaimed multiple times that they can’t survive without government funding (taxpayer $$’s mind you), then consequences like these can and should happen.

If an organization takes taxpayer dollars, then they have to adhere to every regulation and every law. Trafficking in the harvesting and sale of fetal tissue is not something that should involve government funding. They like to claim they only receive about $530 million from the federal government. Oh really?

The report found the Planned Parenthood abortion corporation and its affiliates received $344.5 million in federal funds and another $1.2 billion in funding from Medicaid (which includes a combination of federal and state funds) for a total of $1.5 billion over three years from federal programs. The abortion giant receives $1.2 billion from Medicaid, $201 million from the Title X family planning program $40.6 million from Title XX Social Services block grants and $25.9 million from the Title V Maternal and Child health Services block grant.

Guess what folks, ALL of that is federal funding! PPH has been using OUR taxpayer dollars to fund the evil practice of abortion and the horrific sale of fetal tissue and baby parts to places like Stem Express.

We applaud any action by the DOJ to follow the evidence where it leads — and the Senate Judiciary report reveals substantial evidence suggesting Planned Parenthood profits from the sale of baby body parts.

Yes, exactly. Congress should halt the flow of ALL federal funding into Planned Parenthood until the investigation is completed and the entire organization is held to account.
