Democrats Feeling Tetchy About Donald Trump And Iran

Well, bless their dull, unimaginative tetchy little hearts. Democrats are feeling some kind of way about President Donald Trump and his renewed kinetic attacks on Iran. The Iranians deserve it and we never should have stopped the bombardments to negotiate the Memorandum of (Mis)Understanding. True to the mediocrity, the Dems now fall back on their criticize and blame Trump rinse and repeat strategy. It’s all they have.

The Human mosquitos known as Democrats certainly haven’t come up with anything new in decades. If they could, they wouldn’t have turned their Party over to the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). While the Party handed power over to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, it became sclerotic. Hakeem Jeffries hasn’t brought anything new, right?

Last night, we got this from Politico: “Democrats search for options to halt Trump’s renewed attacks on Iran”. The sub-lede was: Democrats are rallying behind several efforts to kill high-profile defense legislation as a way to protest the escalating conflict in the Middle East. That’s like Impeachment #5,750,211. The Politico article began:

Democrats are planning a rolling protest of the renewed war in Iran this week with efforts to block a series of military policy and defense budget measures — potentially ruining the GOP’s dreams of legislative victories heading into the summer break.

The flurry of action presents Democrats with a chance to score real wins against the Trump administration’s war effort, which burst back into public view over the weekend with the killing of three U.S. troops in the region.

That’s utterly disgusting. They are using the deaths of our treasure to score points. Yes, our children volunteered. Yes, they had other options. That does not give the Democrats license to score points off of their deaths. More:

And while they’re at it, they could create financial and political hardships for the White House just as Republicans are trying to build momentum ahead of the midterm elections.

“You’ll continue to hear us push back on Donald Trump’s reckless war and how it’s driving up gas prices for millions of Americans. I think people see that, people know that,” said House Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar of California in an interview Monday, adding that Democrats would not be taking any votes tantamount to “blessing Donald Trump’s war.”

It’s only “Donald Trump’s war” because no President since 1979 has had the huevos to take on the Iranians.

And more from Politico:

Blocking the typically bipartisan defense policy bill would raise serious questions about what Republicans can hope to finish before November. Republicans have been counting on Democratic votes to get the package over the finish line, though Senate Democrats last week blocked their chamber’s draft of the policy measure from advancing, too.

Republicans are currently pursuing at least two avenues to get the Pentagon additional dollars to support the war efforts. First, there’s a supplemental funding request pending before lawmakers, which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will be on hand to defend at a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing Tuesday, alongside Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Dan Caine — their first public comments since the end of the ceasefire earlier this month.

But the Democrats now have more troop deaths to use as leverage against Trump and COWARDLY Republicans. From The Guardian:

“The reckless and costly war of choice in Iran has been a disaster for the American people,” wrote Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic leader in the House of Representatives. “May God continue to watch over our troops who have needlessly been put into harm’s way.”

Mark Warner, the vice chair of the Senate intelligence committee and a Democrat from Virginia, said there were “hundreds of seriously wounded” US personnel, and added it was “remarkable” that casualty figures had not been higher.

“This is what happens when you start a war of choice. And as a member of the Gang of Eight, I can say unequivocally there was no imminent threat from Iran,” he told CBS’s Face the Nation.

Chris Van Hollen, a Democratic senator from Maryland who has introduced war powers resolutions aimed at ending the Iran campaign unless it receives congressional approval, posted: “This senseless war should never have been started and it needs to end NOW.”

Jeanne Shaheen, the party’s ranking members of the Senate foreign relations committee, called for a return to diplomacy. “The President must negotiate an end to this disastrous war,” she wrote.

“Senseless war”, “disastrous war” and “no imminent threat”. A bunch of the Chicken Littles of the Left. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi bangs the “forever war” drum here on MS? beginning at 9:05:

More from The Guardian, we have the execrable Ted Lieu:

And Ted Lieu, a California representative who has also vocally advocated reining in Trump through a war powers resolution, wrote: “We need Republicans to join us in passing the War Powers Resolution NOW.”

These Democrats bring nothing to the table, except hatred for Donald Trump and joy when another troop is wounded or killed. Pitiable pissants.

Iran – a gift from the Jimmy Carter foreign policy. How appropriate that another gift from the Jimmy Carter foreign policy – Daniel Ortega – has announced that Nicaragua will never again hold elections. Meanwhile while the current crop of Dems in Congress want to, again, follow the path to tyranny blazed by Jimmy Carter.

The Dems are so hell bent on opposing Trump that they fail to realize that many of their actions are Anti-America. Maybe, to them, standing for America is just not the thing to do. Their minds have been completely numbed by TDS!!
