It is with great shock and sadness that the news of the death one of the staunchest Constitutional Conservatives on the United States Supreme Court greeted us just a short while ago.
Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.
Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa.
Justice Scalia was attending a private party at the ranch over the weekend when he passed away suddenly.
The reaction here at Victory Girls and around the country is understandably one of utter disbelief.
I’m so sad we’ve lost Justice Scalia & sadder for his family. Glad he was here for so long, wrote so much. His wit & color will be missed.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued the following statement:
“Justice Antonin Scalia was a man of God, a patriot, and an unwavering defender of the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. He was the solid rock who turned away so many attempts to depart from and distort the Constitution. His fierce loyalty to the Constitution set an unmatched example, not just for judges and lawyers, but for all Americans. We mourn his passing, and we pray that his successor on the Supreme Court will take his place as a champion for the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. Cecilia and I extend our deepest condolences to his family, and we will keep them in our thoughts and prayers.”
There will be much said in the days and weeks to come. But one thing we do know is that Governor Abbott was absolutely correct in describing Justice Scalia as “a man of God, a patriot, and an unwavering defender of the written Constitution.” All of us at Victory Girls are so very grateful to have had this giant among men guarding our Constitution from the day he was appointed by President Reagan in 1986. We now truly enter into uncertain times with the passing of this great man.
Justice Scalia will be missed by many going forward, but by his family most of all. To his family we extend our thoughts and prayers. Thank you sir and may you rest in peace.
Oh, My Heart is breaking! For a strong Justice and His Demise and the Affect his replacement could Have on this Struggling Country that I, WE, Love!
