Former President Bill Clinton met privately with Attorney General of the United States Loretta Lynch on the tarmac at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, as reported by ABC15.com. The tarmac confab lasted about thirty minutes.
Wait, wuh?
Let us set the scene:
Sky Harbor International Airport is close to Phoenix, Scottsdale and Sedona, Arizona. With an arid climate, this area has many gorgeous resorts and the rich and famous come to play, so I have read. Bill Clinton flew in on a private plane. Attorney General Lynch was in Phoenix to discuss “community policing” and was on a government plane. When former President Clinton showed up to board his plane, he was told that AG Lynch was about to arrive. “Slick Willie“, our former President, does nothing by happenstance or on a whim. Mr. Clinton waited for Miss Lynch.
Meet the players:
Bill Clinton is the former President of these United States of America. He is married to former First Lady, former Senator from New York, former Secretary of State and the presumptive Democrat nominee for the President of the United States of America, Hillary Clinton.
Loretta Lynch is Attorney General of these United States of America. As Attorney General, Miss Lynch is head of the Department of Justice. Included in the Department of Justice is the Federal Bureau of Investigation aka FBI. The FBI is currently investigating Hillary Clinton.
What did they discuss?
According to Miss Lynch, it was purely social. La di da.
Remember when Bill’s wife, Hillary Clinton, then a Senator from the Empire State, New York threw shade on General David Petraeus by using the phrase “willing suspension of disbelief”.
They were just “two politicians saying hello”, yeah.
Here is the thing. You don’t have to discuss something to get your point across or come to an understanding.
From the Wall Street Journal last night:
But others suggested the meeting could send the wrong message. “It’s probably ill-advised because it does create the appearance of impropriety,” said Ken Sukhia, a former U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida who is now running for Congress as a Republican. “You don’t necessarily have to talk about the subject to garner some good will [from prosecutors] by having that kind of conversation.”
Open discussion is not how it’s done. Rubbing shoulders, a hello and thirty minute convo on a tarmac in a tosh location. That is how the big things get done.
We, the People of the United State of America, get it. That’s why we are angry. That’s what gives us Donald J. Trump as the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders giving Hillary fits. We know that the ruling elite play by different rules. They get things done without saying a word.
While the rest of us are shoeless and beltless in TSA lines for two or three hours, they discuss golf and grandkids on the tarmac at Sky Harbor and the deal gets done.
End Scene.
