Charles Manson, who should have been dead decades ago, finally died on Sunday night. He had been sentenced to death, but when California struck down the death penalty in 1972, his sentence was changed to life in prison.
Justice was long denied for his victims, as Manson died of “natural causes” in a hospital.
Mass killer Charles Manson died of natural causes Sunday evening at a Kern County hospital, authorities said.
The 83-year-old cult leader died at 8:13 p.m., according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Michele Hanisee, president of the Assn. of Deputy District Attorneys, issued a statement Sunday saying that Vincent Bugliosi, the deputy district attorney who prosecuted Manson, “provided the most accurate summation: ‘Manson was an evil, sophisticated con man with twisted and warped moral values.’
“Today, Manson’s victims are the ones who should be remembered and mourned on the occasion of his death,” Hanisee said.
So, of course, that means that all the crazy people are coming out to make their appearance on that most easily accessed social media platform… Twitter.
And the reactions range from the conspiracy sympathizers…
Charles Manson never killed anyone & spent his entire life in prison. OJ Simpson decapitated his ex-wife & walks the streets a free man.

Charles Manson was the only person mentally strong enough to resist hypnotizing effect of terrible Beatles music, break free, resist, seek to liberate others. He tried freeing Dennis Wilson but failed. Years later Wilson would drown himself after realizing Manson was right.

All my life I've been an outsider. I remember my first day of middle school, not having anyone to sit with, eating all alone. But then someone came along, someone who taught me it was okay to be weird and okay to believe in the upcoming racewar–Helter Skelter. RIP Charles Manson

Some people were trying to be helpful (but on Twitter, no one can hear you scream unless they actually pay attention).
Are people really confusing Charles Manson, a cult leader responsible for organizing several brutal murders in the 60's, with Marilyn Manson, a musician who named himself after Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson (gross)? Stop with the RIP's! #goodriddancecharlesmanson

And then… well… this one tried.

Most normal people were pointing out the obvious.
the fact that some of you are mixing up Charles Manson and Marilyn Manson makes me cringe.

Millenials who don't know the difference between Charles Manson and Marilyn Manson are really making fools of themselves tonight paying their respects to a mass murderer…

Twitter is not for those who are trying to enlighten the masses.

#CharlesManson just died. Hope families of his victims find peace after that horrific slaughter. And I hope HOLLYWOOD doesn’t celebrate him

Side note: it's incredibly bizarre how his inhuman, savage acts of malevolence are glamorized because he was good at finger painting or whatever.

The real news isn’t that Charles Manson is finally dead. It’s that people still glorify him for being a murderer, and that some are too confused or too dumb to know what they are tweeting out into the void.
How many millions of dollars did the tax payers spend keeping this son of satan alive when he should have faced a firing squad?
Parker, not a firing squad, that’s an honorable death, he deserved to be hung, or ride the lightning… or something more medieval ..
Concur with that.
Also, a wooden scaffold and rope are recyclable. Go green! 😉
Yes, decades too late. If you can’t see the death penalty as appropriate justice for someone like this, then (like Californian gov’t) you shouldn’t be allowed to be anywhere near the reins of gov’t – voting, office, or bureaucracy.
Since I know he didn’t repent and claim Christ before his death – RIH, Chucky.
(That’s Rot In Hell.)
