We all remember the moment in the 2nd Presidential debate when moderator, CNN’s Candy Crowley, inserted herself into the debate and aided and abetted this Administration’s shameful cover-up of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Her posture that night was one of an over-eager pro-Obama participant, not the impartial moderator that American voters expect. We blogged about that debate here and here.
Well apparently she’s trying to make amends because today on her show “State of the Union”, Candy Crowley called Mitt Romney “President Romney” while questioning Romney surrogate, Senator Rob Portman, (R-OH).
Check out the video below:
Here’s the transcript of the Candy Crowley gaffe from Newsbusters:
CANDY CROWLEY, HOST: You have in Ohio a jobless rate that is better than the nationwide jobless rate, and you have an auto bailout that the President put in place that’s highly popular. What is it in this state that makes you think that President Romney, uh, sorry, Governor Romney can overcome those particular statistics and the feel of the voters?
SENATOR ROB PORTMAN (R-OHIO): I like your Freudian slip on President Romney. That sounded good.
CROWLEY: [Laughs]
That WAS pretty great actually. Maybe it was a sub-conscience Freudian slip. What’s not so great is that the Benghazi cover-up by the Obama Administration – now almost 2 months old – continues.
