Spartacus, Cory Booker is up to his shenanigans on the floor again. As far as we know, he is not still talking in another “remarkable display of physical endurance” (I didn’t say it, AI did) of a 25-hour rant, but he’s still ranting.
About what now, you ask? He calls his party “complicit”. Why? Because Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Amy Klobuchar tried to move a package of bills, including grants for police departments around the country, by unanimous consent on the Senate floor.
This, to me, is a problem with Democrats in America right now, is we’re willing to be complicit to Donald Trump. Don’t be complicit to the president of the United States. We are standing at a moment where our president is eviscerating the Constitution of the United States of America, and we’re willing to go along with that today. No, not on my watch. I have to stand against this. It is a violation of our Constitution for the president of the United States to ignore the will of Congress and decide which states are eligible for grants and which are not.”-Cory Booker
But this package of bills is nothing new. The package has been around since before Big, Bad, Evil, Orange Man took office again.
Klobuchar fired back:
I will note that Sen. Booker objected to my police reauthorization bill, the cops funding, the Clinton cops funding, long before Donald Trump came into office. So this is not just about this. This is a long dispute over this type of funding.”-Amy Klobuchar
She also called Booker out for missing a meeting “weeks ago”.
I can’t help it if someone couldn’t change their schedule to be there.”-Amy Klobuchar
Oops. But this only fired up Booker even more for his theatrical display:
This is a call, folks. This is a wake-up call.
I see law firms bending a knee to this president, not caring about the larger principles [of] free speech rights that [say] you can take on any client. Why are you bending the knee?
I see universities that should be bastions of free speech bending to the knee of this president. I see businesses taking late-night talk show hosts off the air because they dare to insult a president. I see people who want mergers, suddenly think that they have to pay tribute to this president.”-Cory Booker
He is Spartacus, after all. Hail, Spartacus!

Bending the knee to a president? I remember some years ago, throngs of media outlets and big tech types bent the knee to the Democrats’ narratives, forcing those who didn’t agree to comply or else to-you name it-lose your job, or get put in “Facebook jail”…you get the picture. And complicit? I seem to also remember Booker and his fellow Democrats being quite complicit in the fact that American citizens were on the receiving end of their policies put forth by an inept fool of a President they endorsed. They were complicit in the Biden crime family syndicate. They were complicit in the crime on our city streets, complicit in the prices at the gas pumps, complicit that our educational system was a total wreck.
And, excuse me? Universities as “bastions of free speech” bent the knee? If we’re talking about Columbia, cesspool-pit-of-hell that it is, it did not bend the knee at all. It was a “bastion” of anti-Semitic hate. They weren’t “encouraging free speech”. The spoiled little ratholes who protested were harassing other students, locking doors and demanding Door Dash, while preventing yet even more students whose parents thought it was a good idea to cough up six figures for a year’s worth of academics, from going to class. Why should Columbia get federal funding after their antics? Why should any of them?
The deranged TDS rant on the Senate floor continued. Cory Booker, no surprise, is team “Save Stephen”. Turns out, Stephen Colbert never “bent the knee” to Trump. As it also turn out, CBS thought his insults to the President were not worth the $15 million a year they were paying him. And, in all honesty, he just was not $15-mill-a-year funny.
All of this out of grants for police departments. What in the fresh does Stephen Colbert have to do with police funding? Dramatic much, Cory?
If Booker were to stop and think for a moment, instead of his usual grandstanding, he might have a revelation as to why police departments in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Illinois (to name a few) may not be favored in Trump’s eyes for further law enforcement funding. It’s an act of simple deductive reasoning here. Perhaps because the rule of law simply does not apply in these states? The Democrats made police officers get vaccinated or lose their jobs in 2020, leaving departments understaffed. Then, the Democrats let illegal immigration, crime and drugs take over the city streets in their Democrat-run states. They have tied the hands of law enforcement officer that have remained, making them effectively unable to do their jobs. Police officers have been demoralized, deincentivized and discouraged from doing their jobs for a long time now. They have been told they are unwanted. They have gone unappreciated by the Dems. Why the hell would they stay and why the hell would the government provide funding to states who push this agenda?

This is the party of Democrats. Cory “vote against a bill that will help citizens because I hate Trump” Booker. It’s no wonder they are imploding all over themselves. Thank God he didn’t rant on this for 25 hours.

He’s so adorable, I can see the Hello Kitty head on his body while he speaks. But hey; the universities could just give up federal funding and not have to worry about OrangeManBad.
When a student is able to say peacefully, into a mixed group of students that they support Israel. And nothing happens to them at the time or later, I will then believe that the university is a bastion of free speech.
A second test would be “I believe in life from conception to natural death.”
