One of the most unlikely outcomes of the current situation has been the elevation of medical professionals like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx as national figures. And now, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has announced that Dr. Fauci is going to get his own bobblehead.
Located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum usually focuses on entertainment and sports figures for their bobbleheads.
The Dr. Fauci bobblehead may seem a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it does reflect the fact that he has become one of the most recognizable and respected figures in this moment – and it will raise money for a good cause.
The 7-inch Dr. Fauci bobbleheads cost $25 and are available for pre-order. They are expected to ship in July.”
A portion of each sale will go toward helping produce personal protective equipment for health care workers on the front lines of the battle against the coronavirus.”
The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will donate $5 to the American Hospital Association for every Fauci bobblehead sold to raise money for the 100 Million Mask Challenge“.
(Museum co-founder and CEO Phil)Sklar said he hopes the bobbleheads will give people around the world something to smile about in this time of chaos.”
“I think everyone is looking for ways to help our fellow citizens during this pandemic, and we wanted to do something that would make a difference,” Sklar said. “If we could have our factory crank out masks or ventilators, we would do that in a heartbeat.”
It’s absolutely true that not all factories can retool themselves to produce personal protective equipment or medical machinery. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has taken the unique perspective that they will do what they can with what they have. The Dr. Fauci bobblehead can be preordered here on their website.
Now, Dr. Fauci is not exactly an attention-seeking personality, so he will probably think the bobblehead of him is silly, but will support its cause wholeheartedly. Dr. Fauci would rather see the attention being paid to him, be given to those on the front lines instead.

There are several national food chains offering free items to those in health care right now, and now restaurants are donating meals and taking donations to feed doctors and nurses at hospitals. I think we all want to do what we can to support those on the front lines, just to feel as if we are doing something, especially while many of us are under “stay at home” orders. And sometimes, it can be as simple as buying a meal to send to a hospital – or pre-ordering a bobblehead, even if it seems goofy. (Could we get a bobblehead of Dr. Birx next? It could be a collector’s series, showing off her different scarves!)
