It will be another basement dwelling campaign. Why else would the announcement that Biden is running be dropped in the early dawn hours via video?

Quite the angry video isn’t it? Not one bit in there of any of Joe’s supposed accomplishments, since there aren’t any which I’ll get to in a minute. Instead the video leads off with January 6 footage, and Biden nattering about MAGA Republicans. Joe wants to “finish the job.” 

President Joe Biden formally announced his bid for re-election Tuesday, asking voters to give him another four years as America’s oldest president to help him “finish the job” despite plunging support.

“Every generation has a moment where they have had to stand up for democracy. To stand up for their fundamental freedoms. I believe this is ours,” the 80-year-old president tweeted early Tuesday.

“That’s why I’m running for reelection as President of the United States. Join us. Let’s finish the job.”

Notice in the video that zero accomplishments are listed? That’s because he doesn’t HAVE any! What he does have is an extensive list of failures. For example:

Inflation hit its highest levels since the Carter years, which is really saying something. 

A recession is looming.

Our border, BOTH borders, are in one helluva mess.

The fentanyl crisis is getting worse.

Migrant children are being abandoned, forced into labor, and likely some are being trafficked.

Three embassies have been overrun during Joe’s tenure.

Billions in money and military equipment is being sent to Ukraine with ZERO to show for it.

Afghanistan was a debacle that saw many of our soldiers gravely injured and thirteen Americans killed

The Taliban is once again harboring terrorists. 

The DOJ weaponized the FBI against parents for daring to voice their very real concerns about multiple issues within the schools including the coverup of sexual assaults and gender transitions. 

We have no budget and our deficit is out of control and getting more so with Joe’s spending sprees. 

Crime rates are skyrocketing around the country and the Democrats do nothing.

I could go on, but you get the drift. 

Furthermore, Joe’s age and cognitive abilities ARE of very real concern and should be a significant discussion point during this campaign. 

According to a new poll out Sunday from NBC News, 70 percent of Americans do not want Biden to run for a second term, compared to only 26 percent who do. Among those who don’t want the 80-year-old president to pursue a second term, 69 percent cite age as a reason why, with 48 percent calling it a “major” reason.

Worse yet for Biden, the new survey shows him facing a steep uphill climb in a general election. The NBC poll shows 41 percent of Americans plan to vote for Biden in 2024, compared to 47 percent who say they will back the Republican nominee.

People don’t want Joe. They don’t. I don’t. Yet his handlers will run his campaign from the basement and unless Republicans get off their collective asses and make the case as to why Joe’s policies will destroy America if he’s reelected, the electorate who DOES vote will give a collective shrug and either vote for him or not vote at all. 

Then again, that’s what Joe’s handlers are banking on. They know, just as we do, Joe’s ability to F**K things up. So this will be a very carefully orchestrated campaign with zero primary debates and strategically targeted campaign stops. 

DNC has already announced that it will not allow any debates in 2024 primary. Biden is not to be challenged. Everyone on the Democratic side must shut up and fall in line. Not having debates is undemocratic and ridiculous. No progressive should agree to this kind of power grab.

No debates huh? Gee, I wonder why? Especially as there are some claiming Joe has all the energy and then some to campaign hard over the next 20 months. I’ll admit it. I laughed so hard at that, I nearly fell off my chair. 

Joe and his handlers are claiming that they are concerned about everyone’s personal freedom. 

Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans. There’s nothing more important. Nothing more sacred. That’s been the work of my first term, to fight for our democracy. To protect our rights, to make sure that everyone in this country is treated equally and that everyone is given a fair shot at making it.

But you know, around the country, magger extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms, cutting Social Security that you paid for your entire life by cutting taxes for the very wealthy, dictating what health care decisions women can make, banning books, and telling people who they can love, all while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote.

When I ran for President four years ago, I said we’re in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are.

The question we’re facing is whether, in the years ahead, we have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer. I know what I want the answer to be, and I think you do, too.

Look at Joe’s list of failures above and then ask yourselves, are you really and truly better off now than you were in 2020?
