The Ballot Box Is Calling And You Must Go

As we walk with ballots in-hand, the time is drawing near. We are on the precipice of a critical mid-term election that can be good, but also can be quite ugly.

As a Washington State resident, the Senate race has been particularly interesting here. For the Democrats, we have incumbent, Maria Cantwell. For the Republicans, we have Susan Hutchison.

Cantwell has been Washington’s Junior Senator since 2000. She cites hiking as her “community service”. I’m not even lying. This from the Washington State voters’ guide:

Maria is an avid hiker and outdoorswoman who has summited Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, Grand Teton, Kilimanjaro, and hopes to tackle more of our nation’s highest peaks.

Mountain climbing is her community service. This in contrast to Susan Hutchison who donated her time and talent to The Salvation Army and Seattle Children’s Hospital…just to name a few. Nope, Maria Cantwell is climbing mountains.

Being in the Subaru-driving, “The Mountains are Calling” state of Washington, I am sure this is inspirational to white people in the 253, 206, 509, 360 or 425 who can afford to take off for days on end on mountaineering journeys and back-country adventures…where they can escape the oozing sludge that has taken over a once pretty darn quirky, awesome city that has become overrun with homeless drug-addicts (who prefer to be called “homefree”, by the way), trash and filth, all as a byproduct of liberal, progressive policy.

But we are not the only ones in a state of blue who are seeing these policies affecting our surrounding suburban cities. Our cities have turned into cesspools of group think and corruption. And some people in blue states don’t even see the point in turning out and voting red.

Which is why we’re here to tell you to do it anyway. Because blue politicians in blue states are banking on red voters not turning out. But if you are tired and fatigued of being called a racist, a bigot, a close-minded individual, a Nazi and whatever else the ridiculous left comes up with, we urge you to get out there and cast that ballot. If you’re fatigued of being called a member of “The Party of Hate,” show them how much we LOVE our country. We are in a fight for our republic.

Yes, vote. Because doing so goes beyond whether you reside in a blue state or a red one. In a blue state? Show us your red. In a red state? Don’t take this as a given. We are currently seeing a collapse of values and a decay of morality. We are seeing a world in which Americans are not equal and are being treated unfairly based on their political and religious ideologies. This unfair treatment is part of lies spun and manufactured from the left. We are seeing a world where the opinions of rich influential people mean more than those in the heartland of America, bringing a slow death to those in the heartland despite their so-called love of the “poor, working guy”.

Vote, because you know someone who fought for you. Day after day, our men and women of our armed forces go out into harms way and do not hesitate to do it time and time again. Some do not get the opportunity to return to the battlefield or back home to their loved ones. They return in a casket draped with our flag while others burn it in the streets. Vote for those who wanted to serve and honor their country “however they can“. Vote as a statement to tell them that their sacrifices were not in vain; vote as a sign of gratitude for these brave men and women. And if your neighbor reads this and tells you, “I’m guilt-trippin’ you”? Bonus. Drop that ballot.

Vote for those in your community: law enforcement, local business owners,  and families. Vote to protect them all. If you have any doubt, look around your communities, and I mean take a good, hard, glance. Do you feel safe? Do you like the direction your community/state is moving in? Consider those at the helm. Have they improved your surroundings, or have things gotten worse over time?

Vote because our ancestors worked hard to make this country what it is. Vote because the callouses on their hands and the blisters on their feet after a hard day’s work were part of crafting the American Dream as we know it. The bridges they’ve built, the coal mines they’ve toiled in, the fruit and vegetable stands they ran in the city, and the 16-hour-plus days in the factories were all what has made us who we are today. They didn’t expect a free ride for freedom; they worked their faces off for it. Vote so that our children come to understand this grit amongst the chaos and the noise of our current political climate.

And speaking of our children, this is a no-brainer. Do it for your kids, your grandkids, your friends’ kids. If you’re tired of a bunch of whiny little brats who grow up to be entitled, self-absorbed, lazy adults and you want to change this tide: vote. If you’re tired of the subtle indoctrination in our public schools and you want some say in this and some control over this, the best way to do this is drop an envelope!

Vote if you’re tired and you don’t want your kids ending up like this:

And thinking this is okay:

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up .If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”-Maxine Waters

God is on our side. Vote, because despite what the left says, YOU deserve a voice, too. YOU deserve peace. YOU are welcome here. YOU built this. In fact, it is more important than it ever was to be louder than they are. It’s time our voices drown theirs out.

And probably the biggest reason ever to vote is to PROVE THEM WRONG about us. Watch what happens when a united community casts their votes. Let them eat crow and watch how work actually gets done. Watch them burn in the sunlight when they are called out on the carpet for their dark ways. Let them crumble underneath their ideologies in defeat when jobs are created, economies are healthy, and people are rehabilitated and off the streets because they were given faith, encouragement, and the tools they need to be successful. Watch their faces when their bullying and veiled threats no longer have an impact on us or influence anyone. Watch them scramble when they do not have the legs to stand on because we are living in a kinder, gentler but fearless and courageous republic.

The Ballot Box is Calling…and you must go! Vote as if your life depends on it, because it does.

Kilimanjaro, and hopes to tackle more of our nation’s highest peaks
Ummmm….. is Kilimanjaro in one of those other 7 states (after the first 50)?

Yes, Lisa, get out and VOTE! You *are* our government, and you have a civic duty.
