Are The White House Rats Dumping Trump?

A former Federal prosecutor claimed on MSNBC yesterday, that the “rats” are jumping ship from the Trump White House. This based on a Washington Post article that Vice President Mike Pence was involved in Ukrainian matters.

The Washington Post article, based on anonymous sources, is confused and confusing. Anonymous sources should always be read as “self-serving, office gossips”, just like the alleged whistleblower. The WaPo article says:

Officials close to Pence contend that he traveled to Warsaw for a meeting with Zelensky on Sept. 1 probably without having read — or at least fully registered — the transcript of Trump’s July 25 call with the leader of Ukraine.

Um, what? Does “fully registered” mean that Pence has low reading comprehension or that he understood it fine until Democrats decided to make a policy dispute into an impeachable offense?

The article goes to tell the readers that Pence’s foreign policy adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg, was another of the many people monitoring that July 25 phone call with President Zelensky. The article further reads:

White House officials said that Pence probably would have received the detailed notes of the president’s call in his briefing book on July 26. The five-page document also should have been part of the briefing materials he took with him to Warsaw to prepare for the meeting, according to the officials, who, like others interviewed, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters.

This scenario makes a great deal more sense, doesn’t it? Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and General Kellogg were part of the huge cast of characters listening in on the Trump-Zelensky phone call and neither one of them leaned over to President Trump and said, “Mr. President, Ix-nay on the avor-fay”. That’s “nix on the favor” for those who don’t speak Pig Latin.

Of course, in the world of those infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome, anything that Donald Trump says or does must be assumed to have nefarious intent.

This Washington Post article led the former Federal Prosecutor John Flannery to claim that rats are jumping the White House ship. Keep in mind that Flannery, not only worked for Representative Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), but also represented the Democrat minority in the Clinton Impeachment. Here is the video:

Yes, in another example of the Democrats massive “Projection Hysteria”, host Ari Melber wonders whether Donald Trump is using his office to “criminally target” rivals. That is rich considering all the calls for violence against Trump, his staff, and his supporters that Democrats and the mainstream media have made.

Donald Trump needs the best people around him to support and defend him as the Democrat machine attempts, to try again, to overturn the results of the 2016 election and negate our votes.

Yep, pretty obvious that they’re accusing President Trump of all things Obama and his admin did.. sure would be nice if those chickens came home to roost…

Here’s the thing about the phone call / transcript. All the lefties are saying how it was inappropriate / criminal, but the question should be “compared to what?”.. we have never seen transcripts of phone calls to foreign leaders, so we have no idea what “normal” is.. how about we get transcripts from obamas phone calls to Iran, or Syria, or Russia after his “more flexibility” comment… or maybe even from Bill Clintons “Monica” phone call… since they’re leftist heros who did no wrong, the left should have no problem using their conversations as a baseline for what’s appropriate, and immediately releasing them, right???

Having heard the transcript read out loud a couple times now by radio personalities, I am struck by how banal it all is. My take on the “ask” by President Trump was, “if that kind of favor asking is off-limits, what exactly would be the point of Leader-to-Leader phone calls like this?” It seems to me to be a typical Boss-to-Boss style call where the point is to reinforce relationships AND to ask for assistance where it’s needed.

I understand that the Democrats are trying to portray the request as “help me get dirt on my political opponent” (near enough to a quote of things I’ve heard on TV recently), but in reality (what a concept!) he only asked the Ukrainian President to look into claims of corrupt behavior with no expressed desire to see them either confirmed or denied. Either confirming OR dismissing them is clearly in the interests of the United States.

Democrats (loud voice): No one is above the law…

Democrats (tiny voice): except illegal immigrants and Democratic politicians/candidates.
