Archdiocese of San Francisco on MLB Rainbow Kerfuffle: Christians Are Allowed to Be Christian in Public

Not since people were beat-up or fired for opining “All Lives Matter” has there been such manufactured outrage because a handful of baseball players decided to cite the “God gave rainbows to everyone” Bible passage during ‘Pride’ month. In San Francisco. Cue the screaming horses.

As Victory Girl Carol pointed out yesterday, the MLB tripped over itself in issuing a groveling apology to the LGBTQAQ+++++ over their hurty-hurt feelz cuz Genesis 9:22-16 dared to show itself next to the sacred totem Pride Rainbow. And in Sodom San Francisco?

So knock us over with a feather that the Archdiocese of San Francisco wasn’t hiding in the church basement with the Bingo tables. They actually said, out loud, that Christians get to be Christians in public. What a concept!

The Archdiocese of San Francisco has defended the right of Giants players to publicly express their Christian faith after four pitchers came under fire for writing Bible verses on their caps during the team’s Pride night match against the Chicago Cubs.

Archdiocese spokesman Peter Marlow told The Post Giants pitchers Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker, Ryan Walker and Sam Hentges had a right to public religious expression, no matter what their occupation.

“People of faith should not be compelled to hide or suppress their sincerely held religious convictions in public life, including in the world of professional sports,” Marlow said.

The MLB further sniveled that it wasn’t the message they warned the players about …

… if not, why the taking a knee to grovel to the Pride mafia? …

… it was that tHE rUleS said “no messages on equipment”. Except for political messages like “Pride”. Or BLM.

NEW YORK — Major League Baseball players have the option of wearing a patch with “Black Lives Matter” or “United For Change” on a jersey sleeve on opening day of the pandemic-delayed season.

Also, teams have the option of stenciling an inverted MLB logo with “BLM” or “United for Change” on the back of the pitcher’s mound during opening weekend games. (snip)

MLB is also lifting cleat restrictions for this season, giving players permission to put messages for social justice and causes on their spikes.

Because some animals are more equal than others.

California’s biggest legislative pervert and seeker of Pelosi’s seat in Congress, BDSM enthusiast Scott Wiener declares the Biblical reference a “defacement” with super-secret meanings cuz we all know rainbows only belong to the alphabet mafia.

The rest of the text:

several players defaced their Pride caps with a biblical passage that has been hijacked by homophobes to ‘take back’ the rainbow from LGBTQ people. The players could have displayed this passage any night of the year but chose to do it only on Pride Night.

“The Giants, sadly, took no action in response, which is inconsistent with the Giants’ longstanding support for our LGBTQ community. Major League Baseball then warned the players that MLB rules bar defacement of uniforms. The Giants should publicly commit to enforcing rules around uniform defacement and should not effectively create a homophobia exemption to those rules.

“MAGA leaders like JD Vance and Josh Hawley are now glomming on and declaring an anti-LGBTQ culture war,
in an attempt to bully MLB from enforcing its rules. MAGA leaders are only taking issue with enforcement of the rule against homophobic defacement, not any other form of defacement.

“Once again, MAGA shows its true colors: Bigotry against LGBTQ people. This isn’t an issue of religious freedom. People have a right to whatever religious beliefs they want — even if those beliefs dehumanize other people — but they don’t have a right to hijack their employer to promote those hateful beliefs at a job-related event. MLB didn’t warn these players for their faith. Rather, it warned them for violating the rules of their employment.

“MLB must hold firm in enforcing its rules. And the Giants must do better. There cannot be a homophobia exemption to the MLB uniform defacement ban.”

Being openly Christian or rejecting males in girls locker rooms or objecting to Wiener’s legislative attempts at normalizing sex between adults and minors isn’t homophobic. If nothing else, saying “Rainbows belong to everyone”, is the mildest of expressions about Pride fatigue that normies – gay or straight – are experiencing with the rancid fetish-identity orgy that Wiener represents. The creep is shameless.

It is wearying to see, yet again, another person, who utterly rejects Biblical values, pretend they know more about what Bible passages really mean than practicing Christians, Jews or the Archdiocese of San Francisco. May Scott be turned a pillar of rainbow hued salt.

No. It’s not OK to openly display Christian symbols and show expressions of faith.

What is OK is to burn a large cross in Grant Park in Chicago near where former President Obama gave his speech accepting the Dem Party nomination IF — and this is important to understand — IF your last name is Lu and although you knew of the historical association of burning crosses, but you didn’t understand the strong emotional associations that would cause and so everything is fine because your motive was pure — it wasn’t about racism or sexism or gender whatever – your motive was to publicly show that You Oppose President Trump and believe that he should be immediately removed from office.

See? That makes it OK. And, everyone- including the Illinois Governor – who has blamed the event on MAGA-Nazis-Trump Supporters is thereby exonerated and owe no apologies. Understand? There was no Christian symbolism involved!

Sin masquerading as civil rights needs to be struck by lightning from out of the blue. The Archdiocese holds the keys to the Kingdom. It’s time to use the lock and keys again in His name.
